I think we should be able to either:
- choose to add the U before our name when having a gradient color.
- always show the U for everyone who has a gradient color

Right now it doesn't show up ultimate in chat if you have a gradient name color.

This has been suggested and I believe is currently set to pending. In our migration to XF2 when we redevelop that addon we'll add this functionality for it, but we won't be making the change for XF1.

Since this is already pending, denied, thanks for the suggestion
