Howdy hey and welcome to my little corner of this website. I'm a freelance illustrator / amateur cartoonist who works part time in a design and print shop to make ends meet. I've only very recently joined the Minecraft community after a rather long hiatus from art due to my mental health just not quite being where it needed to be. But now that I'm getting back on track, my art career is yet again in motion.

Small art dump of work I've finished recently^^

-1 Poor communication, and unprofessional, in my opinion.

While things started off nice and friendly, there seemed to be a miscommunication and they decided to deny and remove me immediately. While I am aware they have the rights to deny me service, there seemed to be no reason behind it which would be weird.

It started with us having an idea of what I'd want or get (screenshot 1)
They then proceeded to send over his terms of service
I asked them a question regarding it, and they responded as you can see in screenshot 2.

The following day, I asked if they started or when they would. The rest of the chat is in the screenshot.

While I understood their pov, it would not have been the first time I paid after the fact for my product, despite the terms of service requesting some sort of payment beforehand. I figured they had already started due to already informally agreeing to a price (screenshot 3), the sketch they drew up, and because no invoice was sent. They stated they needed my Paypal email to send me an invoice, but out of the many teams and freelancers I've worked with, that was never the case. They never even confirmed with me about it, yet without a second thought, they were able to delete me as if I did something wrong.
Overall, I feel like they could have handled this situation much better, but I'm alright with them denying me service.

Your commission was denied for not having read my terms of service despite having been sent them. Everything was given to you more than once. I don't have to deal with people who are just going to waste my time.

Again, thank you for your interest but I will not work with you as stated previously. That's my prerogative as a freelancer.

Hence I said there was poor communication because I thought we had already settled on $30 for everything, and you did know everything I wanted. No funds were exchanged because there was never an invoice. I was never supposed to be the one to send out an invoice or request it. Then you never gave me the chance to say anything, you just removed me. That is all I will say. I have attached the entire conversation for anyone interested in what happened.
