why no bootstrap? While I personally use it, and I also think that it can be beneficial to make a site without a framework, bootstrap would be extremely helpful in making a site like the one int he image above.

I don't have anything against bootstrap I just like to do everything myself if it is such a small project like this. For a bigger project I would definitely use bootstrap.
