To start with, you and the other posters are literally flaming him for his request, and in the most childish way possible - calling him names. If you truly wanted to help him, you would be trying to persuade him to learn java the typical way but no, you have to call him autistic just to make yourself feel better about your sad existence. Plus, what do you have against Skript? I have never used it in my life, but as far as i'm aware - it's a tool that allows people who don't have time to learn java to make simple addons for their minecraft server. if you don't have time to learn Java how you even gonna run a server?
I was dying inside when I see Skripts with more than 600 lines of "Skript"
And its not because they don't have time.. I mean if they can write Skripts of 600lines / running a server
it because they are to lazy to learn Java and to watch tutorials or read text that can helps a lot
than you can better stop and do something else...
i learned Java (The basics not the spigotAPI) in 1,5 weeks and maybe that time i wasn't good at coding because homework, family etc...
Maybe my skills weren't good like.. naming convention or instance of getters & setters i used hash-maps and i made everything static but after nearly 2years and having time my skills are much better (I'm not going to say i'm a god)
And maybe as you reading this my English is not that good because its my second language and i don't get English at school
and when i learn Java i watch English tutorials i don't understand any fuck of what they are saying (I know a basic words) but if you see what he is doing and trying to understand it you get there even with an amount of less

I understand completely the idea of trying something new and attempting to learn Java through a different process that most if not all developers take. But my question to this though is: what is it you are actually trying to accomplish by learning the language through this process? It's one thing to learn the language, sure. Especially in a nontraditional way for that matter. But what is your ultimate end goal here? Just learn the language and call it quits? Because if that's not the issue, there's a whole lot of topics you're not going to hit by just having a converter spit out some code to you. If you plan on learning Java as a hobby then maybe this isn't such a bad idea. However, if you're attempting to pursue this as a career or potentially take on bigger clients, then take this as a forewarning that you are taking on an even bigger beast by going a nonorthodox route.
The biggest issue you will face is a failure to understand and use common practice/s that are a necessity to developers in the professional field. I do agree you may be able to learn some of the basic and POSSIBLY intermediate fundamentals of the language simply by reading some source code. However, there is no possibly way you will be able to pick up important practices simply by typing skript and reading it's output. On top of that you will fail to learn some of the more complex topics in general which include: datatypes, OOP(polymorphism, abstraction, inheritance), concurrency (concurrent programming in general) and much much more. There's too much to list. You're also going to fail to learn some of the many very important design patterns which are a must-have for all employers or very serious commissioners in any future you might have.
I'm not totally against the idea but I seriously would like to see your argument as to what you really would like to accomplish with the language. Because to be completely honest (TLDR), this will NOT teach you everything about Java and will not fulfill you with the expectations of what you think you might learn and what you want to learn.
You say that you believe you'll be able to learn the "whole language" just by comparing code, but take it from me when I say that even looking at source code is extremely fucking confusing especially when you aren't familiar with deeper concepts being used. And if for some reason you find it extremely easy to read and understand everything, that means that the developer who created the program had no clue what he was doing and is producing false or ineffective code.
