Hi, so I've recently been seeing an increase in so called "Skripts" coming into this thread. People claim that they're plugins when they're really not. They simply create a piece of code that hooks and depends on Skript otherwise it won't work. The worst part is for this simple form of coding, they're charging upwards of $30! into a existing plugin and requires it to work. A Plugin works for it's self and can hook into other plugins to enhance it's self.

Skripting in the end requires less effort and is less versatile than a plugin made in Java.
The thread is called Plugins and in my eyes, Skripts are just a "add-on" to an existing plugin that generally offer less than a plugin. Back to my starting point... I've seen may people be scammed as they think they're getting a plugin when they actually end up being disappointed and get a Skript. To combat this ban Skripts from the plugins thread or just create an independent Skripts part of the forum.

(If I've offended any "Skripters" in any way, I don't care... It's an opinion, deal with it everyone has one.)

CombatBorn Hope you're comfortable with your scratchy Walmart T-shirt! I enjoy my 100% cotton Hollister T-shirts (yes I got them on sale but they are so comfortable).
(Walmart T-shirts = Skript) > (Premium T-shirts = Java)
My shirts are just fine, thanks for your concern. I'm happy with having nice t-shirts for a fraction of what you're paying, and no noticeable difference!
Just like my scripts! ahhh[DOUBLEPOST=1446504816,1446504657][/DOUBLEPOST]
Your dick might be two inches, sure you can make semen, sure you can impregnate a women, it works right? Ah, but can you star in a pornographic film? Probably not. Skript is a two inch dick, Java is a towering twelve inch donger. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
That's just uncalled for. Shows your maturity level.
EDIT: Good try editting your message.

CombatBorn You are just digging a deeper and deeper hole, continuously proving yourself wrong.

At this point, you are accepting that Skript is inferior to Java.

Read the fine print. I've already showed that I'm more mature than you through continuously proving you wrong through backed up data and holding all of my points strongly while you switch around non-stop.

Hahaha, yes, I know Java is superior, I haven't denied that once. You haven't proven me wrong, you're throwing false accusations, and misinterpreting what I'm saying.

CombatBorn Go back and read your arguments. This whole time you've blatantly been claiming that Skript can run methods faster than Java because, apparently, you guys think faster than us (what?).

No false accusations, just proving you wrong 90% of the time.

Alexander M Yeah but a lot of the white bitches (Skript developers) are scared of that twelve inch dick, so they resort to the smaller penises because they are easier to handle.

This isn't an insult, this is just another analogy for our argument.
You call Skripters white, and think Skripters are inferior. Racist, uncalled for, and immature.[DOUBLEPOST=1446505259,1446505107][/DOUBLEPOST]

"This whole time you've blatantly been claiming that Skript can run methods faster than Java" QUOTE ME, haven't said they can run faster methods than Java once. Simply have stated that not all Java written plugins are more efficient than Skript plugins. You took such a small comment the wrong way this entire time and were completely oblivious to it...

CombatBorn It's called a stereotype. I used it because you, a Skripter, are stereotyping Java as a less efficient language due to the fact that Skript is easier.

Do you even know what blatantly means? I've been saying it in a truthful manner, with which I can back up with quantitative data. You have only made shitty analogies that backfire on your own points. You even clarified your false points even more for me so I could then be sure that you were wrong.

Several other reputable Java developers are on my side right now as well.

Just leave. There's already a simple fix for this skript's being sold as stand alone plugins. Just add Tags...

I haven't said that a single time, are you blind? Use the skill you learned in elementary school, and read what I am saying.

CombatBorn Please reread your messages so I don't have to go back and fucking quote each time you've said it.

Or at least edit your lies so I don't have to prove you wrong, once again.

CombatBorn Ah, none of us can. Because we have not cited a SINGLE source in this entire process.

If anybody does not believe me, then please respond to this. I can prove my points with quantitative data if needed and am prepared to backup my statements.

I'm going to have to disagree with this one. Some people take LOTS and LOTS of time to write skripts. Like 2 months. Spigot tried banning skripts but they failed to do so. Skript is an evolving "programming language" that has nearly as much potential as making plugins with java. It's also still young compared to java. Maybe give it a chance, but I do agree that they need to be clearly labeled. I actually find a plugin in skript to be a lot better than plugins coded in java because say you want a message changed, or a color of a message. Like if their economy plugin spits out a message in green, the server owner can easily go edit the text file and change it without messing things up. This is not as easy with java unless there is a config. The server owner doesn't even have to reload the server to update it.
Basically what you're stating is that plugins like ASkyblock and Survival Games are just add-ons because they both require world edit. When it comes down to it, they're both just a text file.

So you're basically telling me that people shouldn't use cars because they make it a lot easier to get from place to place?

I do see however this could potentially see this as a problem and do think there should be rules required making it clearly state that the plugin requires Skript. So maybe add the tag "Skript" under the plugins section? That seems like a good solution that would make it blatantly obvious to people that it is a skript.

Tom Joker.

I never claimed that it wasn't a plugin because they hook into another plugin. I said that it depends on it and won't run without it. Skripts aren't independent.[DOUBLEPOST=1446515420,1446515368][/DOUBLEPOST]Wow almost 7 Pages and so many votes on this! You guys really are opinionated about this topic. Many of you must have thought of this before. I'm just the speaker.[DOUBLEPOST=1446524351][/DOUBLEPOST]We're back!

Just in a new part of the forums!

Not only do they work just as well, but as I stated before it's the same functionality too.
I'd like any of the skript haters to post one idea that couldn't be done in skript. I've seen so many things been done in skript that are simply awesome. Hell, I've even got a friend who made a random dungeon generator (Used in rogue games, all rooms were generated on algorithms and completely unique to the play style including loot rooms, and boss rooms. Side note, it doesn't use schematics... don't even try and say it's easy lol.)

Never used Skript but I'm pretty sure it's very limited. I can name one thing that it probably can't do, Packets/NMS.

I'm almost positive it could be recreated. What would be your main reason to say it couldn't be done?

Packets/NMS is limited, of course. But with the use of a custom addon, made by yourself or by another java developer anything is possible.
