Hey all.

Today I am selling the OG SkyBait domain, skybait.com

It used to be a relatively decent sized skyblock network a few months ago I believe. It released a few maps. This is a incredible brand name so the price would need to be decent in order for me to sell.

Here is one of their great trailers they got done:

Stunning if you ask me. Someone who has the right vision with this can take it incredibly far. Take into account the domain is a .COM which typically cost thousands on namecheap/godaddy (I am not saying it is worth that, just saying that .COM domains can be hard to acquire!

Where is this domain held? NameCheap, free DNS protection etc. :)

PM me on site if you are interested in purchasing. Starting bid is $30. If I were to sell it I would definitely be looking for more than that though.

Oh my lord this post is filled with false information and honestly annoys me. Here is my breakdown:

Take into account the domain is a .COM which typically cost thousands on namecheap/godaddy (I am not saying it is worth that, just saying that .COM domains can be hard to acquire!
First off, it is registered with NameCheap. It costs you $9 plus tax for a .com TLD. You are delusional if you think thousands, especially in the MC section, to register a domain unless you are going for like Netherite.com or similar.

Second, there is very little history left for skybait. I found two videos, one with 1.5k views and the other with 60 views. I cannot find anything more from this "relatively decent sized skyblock network". If it was as you said, I probably would have found more.

Third, the worth of the domain is really only the registration fee and then traffic. You did not link any sort of analytics nor proof of analytics so it is simply worth the $10 it takes to register it. There are a plethora of domains still available for less than a third of your starting bid price, that are arguably more impressive and could generate better traffic.

Fourth, your only saving grace is you have access and resell rights to that artwork, trailer, etc. However, if you do not, and try to anyway, that is scamming and you will be suspended from MCM.

Fifth, you should really redirect it to your thread or your profile for proof of ownership. You're using NameCheap, it should be incredibly easy.

I would suggest lowering your starting bid and expectations. You price based on the market, not how much you feel it should be worth. GLWS

Thanks,
- Sean / Gunny

Edit: I moved the quote to above the point I was referencing.
Edit 2: Lol people responding with the funny reaction, yet he said .com TLDs are thousands to register. Childish users smh. I also love how they are low rep, nobodies that have no previous history in domain broking.

Buddy, I quote the domain at the price I feel is reasonable based on it’s history and the brand itself. I have every right to post my sale on a thread and if people want to bid they can and if they don’t want to they simply don’t have to. My price point is fair, this brand is great. I own the domain, if you want proof feel free to DM me on site and I can show you proof.

I would advise you to get off my thread if all you are going to do is douche your way around on it and slander it because you grow off negative attention. If you aren’t interested, simply DONT RESPOND AT ALL.

If you continue this foolishness I will message a mod on site and they will give you a warning for continued slander.

ALSO, if you have a brain and actually read my thread, I STATED I never said the domain was worth that amount, HENCE the $30 starting bid which is REASONABLE. I said a LOT of .COM domains are hard to acquire because they go for thousands of dollars on NameCheap and GoDaddy. It is actually amazing how many people go out of their way to make negative remarks towards people without even having a clue on anything.

Please, for the love of God, before you make an even bigger joke of yourself, use your eyes and read what I am saying.

Back on topic, domain (skybait.com) is still for sale fellas. DM me on site if interested! :) Don’t bother replying if you have nothing nice to say. <3

Take this to a PM then kiddo. This isn't "slandered", slander is false statements. Feel free to flag it for a moderator, I made statements about your thread because of how you stated the information. I quote:
Take into account the domain is a .COM which typically cost thousands on namecheap/godaddy (I am not saying it is worth that, just saying that .COM domains can be hard to acquire!
"Typically cost thousands on namecheap/godaddy" follow by indeed saying you do not believe your domain to be worth that amount. Point being that you are intentionally misleading users with the "it usually costs thousands to register" comment.

In addition, you completely failed to address the question of artwork, which again, is the saving grace of this. You have no analytical data for traffic, seo look-up, etc.

As other users on this marketplace have stated: "If the server doesn't have the playerbase/discord with it, then the domain isn't worth anything more than the registration cost." The domain has lost all meaningful traffic. Simply put, you are trying to base a price based on what you feel rather than the market. Go for it, feel free to. I was giving advice as a domain broker. Nothing I was with malicious intent, but rather of annoyance. You decided to get upidy after a breakdown of your post from a more senior perspective. I have nothing to gain from bashing you down. I honestly couldn't give a flying frick if you made $1 off this domain or $10,000. I was giving my opinion.

Also, as I was trying to be helpful, and still am. Here is a tool

As I said before, GLWS. Take it to my PMs if you wish to argue further. I'd prefer a pleasant discussion and not flood your thread. But I do believe people should see what you have to say.

Oh! And for proof of ownership, it's common courtesy to all users to do this so that they don't have to go out of their way cause you were too lazy to click three times in the namecheap DNS settings.

Are you done now? Lol. I've said enough on this and can't be bothered to reply to your snarky replies. Leave my thread already, would you. You clearly can't read what I said on the thread and continue to write paragraphs of utter bullshit that nobody cares about. I am simply trying to sell my domain, so let me do that without continuing to spam my thread with your nonsense.[DOUBLEPOST=1611119842][/DOUBLEPOST]

They're giving you the funny rating because your a living meme, how are they childish? I agree with them, your an absolute joke. If you continue to be a literal blockhead to random people trying to gracefully sell their assets, you are gonna become a well-known loser. Just saying.
