Hey MCM. I have been wondering, and I would like to get your opinions. Does it matter if a skyblock server is in 1.8 or current version? Please explain your opinion. Just trying to understand the big deal about the diff versions.

Honestly depends on what you want out it. With older versions you can do much more with redstone mechanics, farming, automation etc.

So if the base of the server was 1.16 would there be a way to have 1.8 mechanics? Like for pvp? What are skyblock servers doing? Everyone has via version but what are they doing?

Most skyblock servers I know are higher than 1.8 now and use 1.8 pvp mechanics. There are many ways of changing the pvp to use those type mechanics.
