AusPvP has just reset and we are currently taking on staff members to help the server as we plan to advertise shortly. At this current point in time you can apply for Pre-Mod, Mod and Admin. As a Pre-Mod we will teach you how to use your commands and tell you what your role on the server is. If you’re applying for Moderator we expect that your knowledge of commands would be that of an existing moderator on the server, If we feel that you are incompetent in your position as a moderator we will put you down to Pre-Mod and run you through the basics commands. And If you’re applying for Admin we expect you to have existing knowledge of being an Admin on other servers, We also expect that you will be on your best behaviour, as you are a role model for the lower ranking staff members and the general community.
As a Mod and Pre-Mod you are allowed to play on the server on your staff account, Admins can play on the server but they have to use an account that does not have a staff position.
Pre-Mods will be handling the role of a generic helper. Making sure the chat is free of toxicity, disrespect and all other chat offences. Training will be provided. This is the perfect rank for you if you have no prior experience as a moderator or a staff position in general. You will be assigned an existing moderator to be your “mentor”. This moderator will ensure your training is up to par and that you know what you are doing. This moderator will also be showing you how a moderator position works and preparing you for a moderator position. If accepted as a Pre-Mod, You will undergo 2 weeks trial. If we feel you are competent enough, You will be moved to a full moderator position.
Moderators are your generic moderators. Your job as a moderator is to make the game fair for everyone. That includes; Finding people using hacked clients and removing them from the server, Catching people who may be glitching or exploiting bugs and removing them and generally interacting with the community so everyone enjoys their time on the server. As a moderator, You will be granted access to various commands to help you in your moderation and some commands to enhance your time on the server. Remember, You are a player too. Moderators will be lead as a team by the SuperMod. The SuperMod will make sure you are all doing as required and keeping the server clean. I expect all moderators to act in a mature way and to uphold the rules of the server.
Admin will be assisting the other higher staff in their roles. You will be expected to have an extensive knowledge of spigot and the various plugins we run. You will be expected to be able to patch minor bugs found (if console is not required) or at least neutralise the problem until someone higher comes online. You will be the role model of the staff team, and as such we expect a mature and responsible personality from you. You will also assist in staff promotions and demotions, staff management and staff training. But with responsibility come power and rewards. You will receive the highest donor rank on an alt account and be able to play as a normal player.
Now a little bit about AusPvP itself.
AusPvP is part of the largest Australian network of servers, Sky Servers. AusPvP is an Australian hosted factions server run by myself and IZK2001 and we are proud to say we enjoy every second of it. Our staff are all Aussies and know how to have a joke. We are all a tight knit group of people who are always in TeamSpeak having a chat about the server and other stuff.
As AusPvP is an Australian hosted server, We would prefer Australian staff. We will accept American staff but be forewarned that your ping may be horrible and lag may annoy you.
