SMP Server Plugins Help

Hey all so pretty much im making a private smp server with a couple mates and just wondering what plugins i should get to make the server experience better. Also should i be using craftbukkit or spigot since its literally only 1 server/world

Use spigot and just get plugins like https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/griefprevention.1884/ and any chestshop plugin. Thats pretty much it.

Dont get any plugins if it’s just you and your friends, don’t even use bukkit or spigot

Wouldn't mind adding plugins like a currency system and clans or somethin just to spice up the server a little bit so would i use bukkit or spigot for stuff like that?
