So, I decided I needed to upgrade. I bought an IbuyPower gaming desktop today.
Computer Specs:
- Intel Core i7-8700 6-core 3.2GHz (4.6 GHz Turbo)
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 8GB
- 16GB DDR4-2666Mhz Memory
- 1TB SATA Solid State Drive
- High Performance Air Cooling
- Integrated Wifi

Spent about $1,350 on it today, was it worth it? Don't really know much about computer hardware.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

It was worth it, but you could've saved money by making your own pc as Comic said.

I’m starting to see more and more pre-built PCs get cheaper as each day passes and I’m starting to wonder if building your own is even worth it anymore if you have the money lying around. This wasn’t a bad price for it though.

To tell you the truth, I'm surprised you got so much of a good deal for a prebuilt PC. They mostly overpriced prebuilts for labour/professional setups.

Good job though. This is a nice spec for what you paid for, just a shame if your future self wants to do some overclocking then you can't.

You definitly could have saved quite a bit building it yourself, however $1,350 isn't too bad. Considering its put together professionally and will likely come with a warranty etc. You might have paid a tad more than you needed to even when consdering those things, but overall it's okay for the price. Good machine for gaming.

Yeah, thing is, is that I don't know how to build my own computer, and would probably end up paying more to pay someone to assemble the computer today than maybe buying a pre-built PC itself?
