Update - 1/2/18

After careful consideration, I realized that my asking price was a bit too high. The BIN is now $500 which is cheap for what you’re actually getting.

———————————————————————-

(The thread got formatted weirdly because I copied/pasted from a word document, apologies for that)

Current Offer: $200

This is an incredibly difficult decision for me as I've spent the past few years of my life working on this. I've poured a lot of time and dedication to running this network, but I no longer have the time nor motive that this network needs to continue to grow. Selling the network was the last thing I've had in mind, especially here. The server is definitely capable of seeing growth, it just requires the dedication of the future server owner(s) themselves.

I just want to state early on that I want this server to be in the hands of someone who is truly dedicated with experience, time, maturity, etc.

I also do not agree with recent decisions made by minecraft/mojang, and I do not like the direction the game is continuing heading, so I feel that now's the best time for me to hand over what I have to someone more motivated than I am and move on.

I hope any potential buyers read the overview/intro, as it'll give you an image as to what we've done these past few years.

Intro/Overview

We started out back in 2014 as a scrimmage server using a plugin that I had written that mimicked the now-closed, Overcast Network. We weren't a public server at the time, and didn't really incline on doing much. In April of 2015 we had expanded a bit, and I realized that I could do so much more and make this into a small network. I called the network "MCVerge Network" and purchased the domains mcverge.com, and mcvg.us and released MCVerge Beta.

Later on, I started working on a website, and in late 2015/early 2016, I stumbled upon a forum software/CMS called "NamelessMC". I wanted to get feedback from the community, so I created this thread: https://www.spigotmc.org/threads/rate-my-servers-website.147597/. We got quite a bit of exposure from this, and to this day I still have people asking me how I made that theme.

Anyways, in terms of the server, we had incorporated player tracking/statistics to our multi-minigame-pvp plugin, Nimbus, and wanted to incorporate this into our website. We shifted away from Nameless, and wrote our own forum software/CMS which features a leaderboard, forum, player profiles, player statisitcs, and a tournament system (which we never used!). At around this time, we had a steady 10-15 playerbase.

In early 2017, we released the first version of MCVerge Practice to MCVerge Beta. It was extremely basic (1v1 with kit creation/map selection). Unexpectedly, it did quite well. Towards the end of May was when we decided to work on marketing with hopes of bringing the server to greater heights. We still maintained an active ~10 playerbase, and this was with no advertising.

Our marketing tactics did have some success, we were able to maintain a 20-30 playerbase and reached 150 members in our discord!

This past July was when we made the biggest mistake possible. We had been working on improving the MCVerge Practice plugin (we worked on adding a lot more features to it), and had decided to close down the network for a couple weeks to prepare for the release which was supposed to happen on July 22nd.Unfortunately do to poor coordination, we were unable to meet the release date, and ended up postponing it several times. However, on December 2nd we managed to release, but by then many players had already lost interest and some community members decided to leave (we still have about 120 players in our discord).

We didn't do any marketing beforehand on release day, but we still manage to maintain a ~5 playerbase.

Times have changed since we first started out, and I find it difficult to grow the network without a large advertising budget.

**What the server includes**

- Website (CMS/Forum etc.)

- Network (Includes server/plugins. Premium plugins are not included)

- Domains (mcverge.com, mcvg.us, pvp.vg)

- Artwork (Banner, logos)

- Trailer

**Website**

This is probably our most prized possession. We've spent months working on making it stand out. It features the following:

- Forum/CMS (Create topics, reply, quote, upvote posts)

- Personalized Profile Pages

- Each player that joins, gets their own profile page which displays their statistics, rank, who they killed/died to, credits, and more

- Ex) https://www.mcverge.com/profile/GetZeus

- Leaderboard (Stats were reset when we released)

- Team System

- Allows users to create their own team, invite, kick people

- Used to sign up for team-based tournaments

- Ex) https://www.mcverge.com/teams

· Tournament System

- Allows teams to register for tournaments

- Ex) https://www.mcverge.com/tournaments

· PM System

- Private message users on the forum

· Admin Panel

· Mod Panel (Handle posts)

Server

· Elegant builds

Other than the server’s main lobby which was commissioned, all other builds (maps/practice pvp lobby) were created by our wonderful community.

· Main Plugins:

Nimbus (Modified from an open-sourced plugin):

- Team pvp plugin manager much like the former OCN Network.

- Minigames: Team Death Match, Destroy the Monument, Capture the Wool

- Map Cycling (Currently hosts about 10 different maps)

- Team selection for donors

MCVerge Practice

- Competitive minecraft pvp game manager

- Gamemodes: 1v1, Party vs. Party, FFA, Party Battle

- Ranked/Unranked

- Ranked has 2 categories: Competitive and Leisure

- Unranked has 3 categories: Competitive, Leisure, and Arcade

- Competitive features the more competitive kits

- Leisure is mostly vanilla kits

- Arcade features fun kits

- You can use credits to unlock ranked packages.

- We have many maps, but have only setup about 5. You will get all of the maps.

- Maps are not created ingame, in fact, you create them using a config file. I’m not going to go in depth, but here’s our documentation

- As far as I’m aware, I don’t think any other practice pvp server works like this. This enables the map-maker to truly customize the maps they make.

- Kit creation is also done in the config.

Yeah do you also have any proof of ownership by chance?
was just about to ask
I’m on my phone atm, but I’ve logged onto the website which is synced with my Minecraft account. Operator means “OP” or administrator, and I’m logged into that account on the website

If you want more proof I can upload it later[DOUBLEPOST=1513463913][/DOUBLEPOST]
Usual playerbase?
Usually around 5 now, but it can definitely be increased with marketing being done. We’ve done it in the past and got around 30+ players, but I’m sure someone else that’s more dedicated can achieve much higher[DOUBLEPOST=1513479819][/DOUBLEPOST]C/O: $150 - User prefers to be anonymous

Trying to get this sold before Dec. 31st.

Incase you’re wondering, I’d ideally prefer to get somewhere in the $500-$1.5k range for this.

Keep in mind, you are getting a custom core/gamemodes and fully functional website that’s well-integrated into the server, this isn’t something an ordinary server network would have or be willing to sell.
