Thanks man appreciate itnice thread
I got my thread deleted for “disrespect” I’m guessing, the problem is Harrion & Mick & Eclipse & Jaris all saw the thread and this weird unknown staff member rolled in and gave me a warning point and deleted my thread.[DOUBLEPOST=1568322197][/DOUBLEPOST]Holy shit Doge reacted LOLSame goes for cookie brands. You don’t always get the good ones, yet you still go down with it.

good thing we have daddy jayson to fix errything nowThe site just isn't what it used to be. It feels like it isn't being treated like a priority anymore. When BeBosny ran it, he had some system to wake him up with an alarm, even if in the middle of the night, usually this was if the server was having severe issues to minimize downtime. Same if any of the staff team at the time messaged him on slack and it was super important. He actively replied to suggestion threads. He didn't come on for a few hours, chat around, respond to 5 suggestion threads a night and then leave. You could see that he cared about the forum and saw it as a living community rather than some side-gig to make a few bucks with minimal effort.
And there have never been more users with a negative opinion on MCM then there are now, and it isn't because there are more users. It mainly started some point in 2018 and only escalated from there. Threads talking about negative opinions of the site or staff are nothing new because you can never please everyone. But they've never been so frequent as they are now, and never have so many users agreed on these issues as they do now. I mean this thread got SIXTEEN agree ratings in 39 minutes (Just saw 8 more now after refreshing 8 minutes later, wow!)
Though personally, I don't think staff members (mods/chat mods/resource mods, etc) themselves are to blame. I also don't know most of them well enough to have an opinion on them, I've just seen some chat mods while browsing who seem to be pretty nice. The main issue is how the site is run from the top.
Some things I can think off the top of my head:
When you embedded an image, it was viewed from the source server, the server could see all incoming traffic, which meant IPs could be seen. Literally every single forum has this by default. Suddenly a thread was made saying that an image proxy would be added to prevent IPs from being seen like that. ETA: 24 hours. Okay, fair enough. But then a month passes, 2 months pass. Before you know it HALF A YEAR passes and then only is it added. Keep in mind, during that time, none of the embedded images, old or new worked, unless they were posted through imgur.
- Image Proxy
This happened during summer 2018, for around a whole MONTH. There were issues with MCM system emails being sent out (Confirmation, password reset, 2step verification codes) It was so bad that people were told to temporarily disable 2step verification (thus removing a security measure) because if they didn't, they couldn't get the email and were locked out of their accounts until the issue got fixed.
- System Emails
I don't even remember how long this lasted (I believe for somewhere between to months to close to year), but it was with support requests, regular reports and scam reports. At one point, reports piled up in the high hundreds for a while, and I witnessed this myself, because I got responses to reports weeks later that I'd even forgotten about. Scam reports were behind by like half a year and scammers were getting away with scamming more people. Support requests would remain unanswered for weeks to over a month. At least the report backlog has been fixed, scam reports are much better and idk about support requests.
- Massive Backlogs
Then we have the staff turnover rate, mass reputation deletion, etc etc. Would touch on a lot more points, but typed all this and thought "Why am I wasting time on this?"
