There's a method of scamming that's been quite prevalent recently. Here's an example of it:

There's at least 2 fake Discord accounts involved in this scam, one is someone pretending to be user A (in this case senoe) who will message user B (in this example me) asking to confirm on-site:

The second account pretends to be user B and will message user A (in this case senoe):

Preventing this is easy, whenever you're confirming on-site make sure to include your Discord ID as well as the Discord ID of the user talking to you.

For those who aren't familiar with Discord IDs and don't want to bother looking up how to see them, here's how you can enable checking it:

Click the gear icon » Go to "Appearance" » Enable "Developer Mode"

That's all c:

Just a note to reputable users who are getting tricked in this scheme what I personally do to prevent this is I say "I am Brano#0001 with userid 635449447689617443 and I am dealing with the user Jet#9607 with userid 224005705940598784 than a screenshot of the chat."

To this day I still won’t do business over discord. I use it for personal use and gaming with my friends to just avoid these types of scams altogether.

It’s so easy to avoid this, just like brano said include your UID. If they edit the tag to theirs, just post a screenshot of what you messaged them to confirm onsite.
