PayPal increased the chargeback window from 45 days to 180 days this morning. No more stalling until the 45 days expire to disappear with client money

That eh.. sucks.
From my PoV, it's good for "honest" people in the development/freelance world. Yea there are bad clients who will charge back even after they've gotten what they paid for. They already charge back; the 180 day rule won't change that much.
What it will do is make it more difficult for the dishonest freelancers who -- this is a story I've heard quite often -- make promises and bide their time until 45 days has passed since the initial payment, before disappearing with the client's money.
