Hello guys, I have just bought the GAME-1 dedi from SYS. However the support is appalling!

The order hasn't been "processed" yet, and it's been over 5 hours. They claim it's ready within 120seconds.

I've got a validation email saying that they've got the payment from me, and their team will "process" it and then send me over a game server, this was an automated email.

Ive sent over 4 tickets and none of them have been replied to.

Is this because its a Sunday and there contact hours are Mon-Fri 9am to 6pm?
I'm really disappointed!!!

Can someone give me some advice, did this happen to you? Is this the norm?

Your order likely flagged something on their end, which requires manual approval.
They might ask you to send some form of ID before they can provision the server.

It's a dedicated server, calm down.
Dedicated servers take time to be installed in case they are out of stock.
They get install manually for as far as I know, so just wait until tomorrow evening and then start complaining.

From my experience, this is somewhat typical of SYS. They should get it to you soon.

As for it being a 'false claim', I'm sure they have setup time covered in their TOS.

I wouldn't say false claims because the dedi is ready (most likely) but they're just confirming your order which is done manually. (By actual live human beings)

Has anyone ever bought a SYS game server? How long did it take you guys (if you did buy it of course).

This is my first time buying a SYS game server so I thought it was a little strange

To my knowledge SYS is either just like OVH or owned by them.

It'll likely take a day or two, usually does for me when I use OVH.

Really? Okay that makes more sense because coincidentally I've bought an 8GB OVH VPS server and they haven't responded to me either so I was going insane lol

yeah it can take a wee while, its happened to me before with ovh (SYS is owned by ovh)

When I got my SYS dedi about 8 months ago, it took around 2 hour.s But it depends on alot of things. If you dont get the server after 24 hours. Then would be the time to send a support ticket / give them a call.

For me OVH took about 4 days and after that I just called them and then they set it up within hours of that call.

If you paid with PayPal, they always verify it manually because of high amounts of fraud. It would take usually a day or two for them to do this. If you paid via card, it's pretty much instant (unless they decide to do ID verification too).

Is it your first server? If so maybe you have to go through manual verification by their billing or fraud staff. Spamming their ticket queue with multiple tickets won't make anything faster. Once your account is verified all of the future orders will be setup instantly or at the time it lists.
