Hello,
My suggestion:
To be able to add specific user inputs to resources when purchasing them.
With this we could make them much harder to redistribute without permission.

For example, you could ask for a domain input when buying a web resource, then be able to send this data to a website for analytic purposes, and to also whitelist these domains so they have the ability to use the resource.

If this doesn't make any sense, I'll try my best to explain it better.

Regards,
Jon

Once you have the resource, couldn't you just distribute it then?

Or do you mean that using your example of a web resource. The person who made it would have to code in something to check if the domain is in the whitelist. Which since most web related resources are quite simple. (Dont contain much code) it would be very easy to search through with notepad and delete the part that checks the whitelist.

Bit harder with plugins, but anyone that knows a little java can decompile a jar remove a bit of code and recompile it again.

Nothing could be done about graphics, builds etc.

Yes, the idea would work but it wouldnt make it that much harder, and would be alot of work for MCM to have coded in and the people who make the resources. Sounds like more effort than it would be worth.

Its actually quite simple. And yes it would be coded into the resource, but it would half the amount of redistributions. Specially on the bigger resources, like what I have in mind.[DOUBLEPOST=1492608209][/DOUBLEPOST]I could do this rather easily within my website, I just think it could be useful to other experienced developers on MCM.

Unfortunately since our resources at the moment accept so many different types of files I don't think that it's really possible for us to add in custom fields like this to prevent redistribution.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
