Okay so as we all know the internet can be a spoopy place, a lot of people like to post NSFW links and stuff, it does not happen very often here but we don't want people to accidentally open a picture of Crocodile genitals *cough* Croc while in front of their mom or something, lol. I suggest when somebody clicks a link, if it's in a thread or in chat, a little box will pop up " Are you sure you want to open this link "

It's just a small suggestion but I think it should be accepted.

Agreed, accidentally opened a [Censored] account shop in front of my parents. Was an interesting moment.

Not sure if you mean all links or just hyperlinks.

Normal links, no. If you see a link called www.crocodiledicks.com, it's your fault if you click it.
For hyperlinks, I agree. If you click on a hyperlink, it should be like: This redirects to: crocodiledicks.com. Do you want to continue?

Yeah I mean for both.

Interesting, I think I still would want it to be on both just because it would annoy make if it was not.

Also, new users might click a hyperlink and see that it has the pop-up, then click a spoopy link thinking there would be a popup.
I mean, if you see https://[Censored], and you're infront of your parents, normal idea is to not click it. Just my opinion. I'll refrain from reacting to the suggestion, as I agree with some of it, but not the full idea.

There should be an option to disable this. This hasn't happened to me and it'd be really annoying if this was added. I agree'd because it was a good idea but there should be an option to disable this.

I guess I'm the only one that finds it super annoying anytime you click a link on a site and it opens a new page just to ask me if I'm sure. You can literally read what the actual URL is by just hovering over it and looking at the status text in the bottom left of the browser.
This doesn't apply to proxy sites (i.e. adfly) which has its own redirects built in, but a system like this wouldn't even protect against those anyways.
