Its a block-game forum. It doesn't need an SSL.
It deals with infomation like passwords, and sales are done over MCM. Without SSL it is far easier for someone to gain access to your account and use it to scam. So i would say its important.

How many 9 year olds

A: Have a website
B: Can afford an SSL certificate
And C: Set one up?
Free SSL with Cloud flare

I'm sure you can upload images to MCM anyway

To much mixed HTTP content and resources. SSL = R.I.P all external images.[DOUBLEPOST=1466969587][/DOUBLEPOST]

For images: If only XenForo had some sort of ability to proxy image requests, eh?

but but DDoS, the image proxy leaks my backend IP zomgwtf?!?!

Well .. don't request the images from the same box that the webserver is running on? Provision a separate box that does nothing other than request images and then the impact is minimal if it does get taken done by some script kiddie.

omg bandwidth?!

Don't you owe it to your visitors (some of whom are paying), to protect their passwords and other personal information - even if it's at the cost of a little bandwidth?

Other resources should have no problem being served via TLS. CDNJS will support TLS with no problems, for instance.

In my professional opinion, it's negligent for management to not provide and enforce TLS on the site and I can see no convincing technical arguments that would suggest it isn't viable.

Well I think it's good, and why not switch all images internal, much more organized eh?
