Just came back from being suspended for "Abusing the report system".
What happened was I was browsing MCM as one does, found a thread that had a lot of vouches, and as we all know, vouches is a bad thing and should not be allowed on this site. So I reported all of them. While I was reporting them a lot of them were being cleared by Energy, and I thought he was doing a good job. After I was done with the thread I said something along the lines of "Going to get warned for spamming reports" or something like that. Energy replied saying it was fine as long as the reports were valid.
So I found a new thread and another one after that. After this Eclipse finally shows up in chat saying something along the lines of "You shouldn't abuse the report system" or something, you get the point. I stop as I know Eclipse does whatever the fuck she wants without even thinking twice, and let Energy do his job of clearing the reports I've made. Suddenly I was warned for breaking the rule "1.3.2 Do not spam the reports/chat-reports/support ticket system with the same reason or content.".
Now technically this is right. As Energy told me, I reported over 56 posts, but in my alerts, I could only see 45 (I can only see reports that have been handled). Out of the 45 reports, 30 of them were resolved and removed. 15 were invalid. 2/3 out of my reports were valid reports of posts that broke the rules of the site. I thought I was doing a good thing for the community finding all these posts that broke the rules, but apparently I was wrong. Because slightly after Eclipse shows up and brainwashes Energy, I get warned for abusing the report system.
Stupid rule, I'm apparently not allowed to report all the messages I see that are breaking rules, because I find too many. It's like me going to jail because I call in too many serial killers to the police (No, I'm in no way shape or form saying that this is comparable to serial killings and jail, just trying to make a point).
