Hello,
I'm Josh. You may know me as (most recent IGNs) SarcasticJosh, xSarc, or Strategical. This was just a quick introduction to my thread:
In need of professional managing/moderation services? Well, you've come to the right place!
First off, here's my server Moderation/Administration/Managing experience:
SunRaids:
One of my longest held positions, SunRaids was a moderately popular factions server with a playerbase peak of 300. This playerbase decreased as rumors regarding things the owners did started going around. Anyways, I started as a helper, and after not even 10 days of being a staff member, I was promoted to Moderator. In total, I was a staff member for three months. Due to all of the accusations about them, the owners sold the server's files. The new owners kept a few Admins and one Mod and fired the rest of the team. I was one of those unfortunate people who were fired.
TheVoidMC:
TheVoidMC was a server that I owned for about two months. It was a small factions server that had a player base of 5-10. I ended up closing the server due to the lack of funds and playerbase.
SkepMC:
SkepMC was a network including Factions, SB, & Survival. The host accidentally deleted the server files, and the owner didn't feel like redoing the entire server that he worked to hard to create. I was a helper on SkepMC. Sadly, the server officially went down within a week of the files being deleted (officially meaning that the owner actually addressed the issue).
Other:
I was also a staff member on small servers that shut down quickly. They were small enough that they aren't worth mentioning.
Positions That You May Place Me In:
-Manager (Preferred)
-Administrator
-Moderator
-Helper (Or whatever form you call it: e.g. JrMod/Trial-Mod)
Info About Me:
First off, I'm very calm in chat. I rage on a little or never basis. And if I do happen to rage, I don't take it out on people online. I'll take a step back (figuratively) and breath. If someone has any questions, I'm always happy to answer. I'm very active in chat and participate in whatever conversation is going on. Going with this, I can easily moderator & control a chat. For example, if players are spamming, I'd warn them first. If they continued after I've warned them on a handful of occasions, I'd simply mute them for a temporary amount of time. Also, I can be extremely active. I can be on for a few hours each day and I'll spend my time helping out the community. Moving on to another topic, I'll never abuse. I find abusing mean/selfish, and I have no reason to resort to that nature. Why take my frustrations out online? Personally, I'll never do it. It's just not me. If I do happen to come across a staff member who is heavily or lightly abusing, I'd notify an administrator and they should be able to handle it (if lower rank)// I'd immediately remove their permissions to investigate the situation (if higher rank). Back on SunRaids, an Ex-Staff member abused due to people spreading rumors to him (he was easily tricked). The situation was handled, and although I didn't take part in fixing it, I tried to reassure people that everything was fixed and taken care of. Also, I know how to determine if a player is worth being punished. If many players are hackusating against (random player), but I cannot find any proof after checking for a substantial amount of time, I won't punish that player. But I'd warn those other player s for not only hackusating, but for wasting my time. I know to record if I suspect a person of using a hacked client, or take a screenshot if that would provide enough proof. Also, if a player advertises but says something like "WHOOPS I meant to type V not Command/Control V!" than I'd of course still punish them, but if they never did it again, I'd punish them a lot less severely. In chat, I never get into arguments. Lots of players get into arguments quickly, but I never do. I think that having a kinder state of mind is better than being angry and rude all of the time. I appreciate the community of minecraft as a whole more than anyone else. The fact that you can hop onto a server and make a dozen friends 30 seconds later is astonishing. Not many people think of that, but it's one of the greatest things about the game. Every time you click on that multiplayer button, you know that 30 seconds later, you'd have already met some new people. Moving on to how I manage: I manage the staff team with maturity. I'll take full responsibility for my actions. I know when a staff member should be promoted or demoted or removed from the team. Here are some examples: If a staff member is heavily or lightly abusing, they will be removed from the team. If they are caught being immature/slacking off, they will receive a warning and then a demotion. If a staff member is ignoring players that are disregarding the rules, I'd warn them before demoting them. These are just few of the many scenarios that could happen. I also act with the upmost of respect to the players and staff members. I try to be as kind to them while criticizing. I'm even good at making forum announcement posts and organizing things such as staff meetings, chats, and teams. If you entrust me in some of the things I've stated, then I promise I can make changed to your server.
