Not all leak sites have the need to leak because they want to harm developers, there are some (atleast in my opinion) that do it because they want to unlock the freedom, give children the things to enchant their servers.

If they want to enchant kids servers, they should put in the time and effort that our creators have, towards building something with their own hands. Then they can go ahead and give it away for free and enchant all of the kids servers that they want.
Being too incompetent to do the work yourself is not a valid excuse for going around stealing work from those who’ve sacrificed their time and put in the effort.
It’s not heroic. It’s not respectful.

That's the same with the games, no demos anymore? Wow. The demos was the best, because I could have easily decide if i really want to buy that. That's why a lot of people download cracked games these days, there are a guy that does it for playing free but there are also some that do it because they want to try that and if they like it, they buy it. But well, let's compare games. $40 COD BO4 vs. 40$ EWG. COD BO4 is a game, that you can play. There is 100000000x more work that has been done by the devs. So why we should pay the same price as for a game for a plugin?

Tbh, you sound like someone who has never put any effort into any of the things you talked about. Just because we don't create a game it doesn't mean we should not be able to get paid... I am pretty sure a ton of work was put into EWG, so that's why the price is so "high". It's just very sad that people can't seem to understand the time and effort that goes into learning Java, coming up with ideas and working them out and just complain about the fact that not all plugins are free anymore.

I would ban users that upload copyrighted content, would be the right thing to do and would also keep me from legal trouble.

Correct, funding leak sites by paying them for access to content which they don’t have the right to be distributing is no longer tolerated. Every dollar placed into their pocket by our community keeps them running and continuing their abuse of the other creators here.

I assume nothing would happen directly by staff members unless you got valid proof of your claims and open a scam report against the user that broke your TOS. This thread talks about what would happen if x happened on x leaking website by some mcm user.
