Starting a server

Hello everyone!

I'm Ryze and I want to play on a world with my brother, do we have to get a multiplayer server with an IP for this? Or is there a free way of doing this? We both play java on PC. If we need to get a server, whats the best host atm for just max like 2-5 players to just play survival ( no absolute need for plug ins)

Hi there,

I would just recommend getting a small server 1-2gb (depending what version of mc) of a server host. I can help you if needed

if you are from the same net you can open a lan server

if you want a cheap server you can take a look like on sparked host or plox host both are good and for like 5 players? 2gb is more than fine

just play survival ( no absolute need for plug ins)

You can create a free server that you can host yourself (allowing you to choose whatever storage, ram, etc based on your computer) using LogMeIn Hamachi. You can search for a tutorial on YouTube.

The downside is that it can crash if your computer isn't good and the connection can sometimes be bad for others. If you want to pay, I'd recommend VersatileNode for hosting.

Could just buy a realms server from minecraft. Otherwise go for a 2gb server from like pebblehost
