Starting Off Developing

For a while now i've been really wanting to get into developing java plugins for mc, but i really want to know an experienced developers thoughts towards this poll. and also tips on beginning.

Personally I was dumb and started writing plugins before java. It just confused me when it came to learning Java

If you are starting off with programming, No. It isn't an easy language to learn.

Java is really easy ass language, buy a book, watch Java tutorials or read docs. Don't start off with plugins, learn Java first.

Well I guess it depends on person, I learnt it pretty fast.

any sites or books you recommend to lean the language

I cannot really recommend any books since I read Finnish Java book myself but, https://www.tutorialspoint.com/java/ looks fine and also official oracle docs might help you.

thenewboston isn't that good, i can't remember any examples to back this up as it's been so long since i've watched but any java forums generally recommend staying away from him.
java for dummies isn't a good book.


that book ^ (posted by ohvals originally) is very good, i highly recommend it.
don't start with plugins until you have the basics down.
