Starting Out A Minecraft Server NEED A HOST!

How big of a server do you need?
Depending on what you need, I suggest you set it up yourself by buying a server off of https://www.kimsufi.com/en/, https://www.soyoustart.com/en/ or OVH. There are different ones that you can look at too.
I see you are not keen to set-up a dedicated server, but it's great practice and there are many tutorials

Those are the best I have found for my needs, SoYouStart runs my network, build server and upcoming server.

Alright thanks man, I am going to look into how to set on up first then ill buy a test dedicated server just to try and see how i do and if it all goes well I am going for the KS-4 package on kimsufi

I also have been looking around at VPS but not entirely sure what the difference between a VPS and a dedicated server is. And i think one of these is going to be one of my only options because shared hosts are so expensive for the package i want consdering my server before pulled around 60 active people :s

A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a server that you share with or people on one machine. While a dedi (Dedicated) is a server where you own the whole machine.

Shared MC hosting has no virtualization, you share the OS. VPS hosting you have your own container and can do what you wish, install whatever OS you want, and usually have dedicated resources. If you want a good explanation just google it. If you don't know much about linux then you won't want a VPS probably.

DON'T buy a VPS (OVH), not good for Minecraft

, however you could buy the £1.69 one to test off OVH.
Your server will lagg, if you run MC on a VPS
It may depend on the VPS you buy, but I suggest you buy a small dedicated server.

Set-ups are pretty easy, I will do it for you for a small amount of money or help you free if you PM me on mc market if you have any questions.

If you're uninformed don't make false statements. If you had a VPS yourself in the past and MC lagged like hell your host probably oversold the hardware and does not monitor their systems.

I hosted many servers off of VPS...

depends what you get...

Mine worked fine with over 20+

and my $2 one held about 10...
