About the project: Something I have noticed is that there is a huge need for affordable personal/home network security. You could certainly spend hundreds of dollars on security tools for your entire home, but many times they can be confusing to setup and understand....and a lot of times just don't work. My goal is to change that. I think people should be able to get the relevant information they need to keep themselves and their family secure. For example, that 5 year old computer that hasn't been updated since you've bought it might just be a goldmine for hackers. Or how about that security camera you just installed? Does it have default credentials or a backdoor? How about your new smart tv? The point I am getting at is that there are so many IoT devices and computers on home networks, its almost impossible to keep updated with all of the vulnerabilities. Wouldn't it be nice to have an automated report sent weekly with the vulnerability, device its on, AND how to fix it?
It's definitely an interesting Idea, the cool part is that its going to involve a lot of different skill sets!
