So yeah, i am 14 now and since i was 9 years old i just want to code.

I love the thought of being able to create your own program, i have thought of many programs to make, that could be very successful and cool

I love computers, if i could, i would spend my life on them 24/7, they are the best, i also love smartphones(android).

Over the years i have picked up a few skills, like editing and such.

But for some reason, everytime i start with coding, i end up doing it for a week then giving up.

I still have a subscription with team treehouse, but I feel it worthless because i never use it.

I want to make android apps, and then migrate to software, and then migrate to having a general knowledge

I mean for god sake my dream job is to be a programmer.

But idk, i like java and understand the basics.

I just can't seem to stay with a course until the end for like 1-2 months.

Any tips to combat this?

Use the Pomodoro technique.
Basically, set 25 minutes for yourself to study something and then for 5 or 10 minutes do whatever you want. Watch videos, play games etc.
You can keep repeating this, but I like to do this only 2-3 times.
Once you can start making something, and use your basic knowledge, then you become way more invested in it. At least for me.

I see you. But I am the definition of the worst type of procrastinator

Trust me, I am the worst procrastinator. It took me months to finally start working on my setups. I haven't even finished, nor am I close. I have been trying to start working on them for the past 7 months. If that's not bad, idk what is.

I like your setups btw. But that's exactly the point dude. I struggle with being able to learn. And it sucks and shit. Cause I can even make money from this. But I just can't keep on with one course

Your goal in programming shouldn’t be to make money. If you can’t have fun while coding, it’s probably a sign that coding isn’t for you. And that’s fine, it’s definitely not for everybody. Sure, making money is cool, but you’ll never make the “big bucks” if you don’t have multiple years of experience in multiple languages (which will never happen if you’re only driven by money).
