Stop banned users from making new accounts

Basically I don't know how it is set now, but my suggestion is that if a banned user tries to regrister and still has the same IP, the email will get automatically banned, that way it will make it more difficult for him/her to make a new account as the user might have to make a new email and change the ip adress.

IP addresses are unreliable as you could be on a shared or mobile network. We use much more advanced methods of checking for alternate accounts or ban evaders.

Yet in the banned members list you can see quite a few surge of alts at times of scammers. .

as far as I know, this is already implemented. Take a look through the banlist. whenever you see someone banned by themselves, that's the anti multi-accounting system kicking in.

I don't think thats the case, my friend got banned recently and he wasnt alting (it also said that he banned himself)

nvm, he was banned for alting, but his other account was never banned before
