Hello,

I was just browsing trough MCM today when a brilliant idea plopped up in my head.

Ofcourse, everyone has thought of ways on stopping scammers. Most of them, being pretty unlikely and just fantasy.

I've thought of a system, that could help us stop scamming on MC-Market.

I bring you: MC-Market Credit.

How do you buy an OG with MC-Market Credit?
Step 1: Buy MCM Credit trough PayPal.
Step 2: Pay another user your MCM Credit (Trough a custom payment system owned by MCM)
Step 3: The user gives you the account details.
-
Having a system like this, would allow MCM staff to give back the credits, if a player was ever scammed.
For example you paid someone $50 in MCM credits, the user decides to scam you: you make a scam report, it gets accepted: staff will give your credits back.

Selling an OG:
How does this work?
1: You tell a payer to give you an amount of MCM credit
2: The user sends you the funds
3: You send him the account details
4: You transfer your MCM credits, onto your PayPal. Mc-market gets a small % of this.

Alright, that's it!
Ofcourse I know, this is very unlikely to happen. It just popped up in my mind. And I decided to share the idea!

Thank you for reading!

Oh look, another one. Don't you people ever look at past posts? this must be the third iteration of this exact idea, under the exact title.
The answer is no.[DOUBLEPOST=1503299748][/DOUBLEPOST]
Ban them like BuyCraft does?
You mean ban people like we already do? Paypal isn't gonna care, they'll chargeback, MCM bans them after the loss, but they wont get the money back.
This will not achieve anything scammer-wise, is a huge legal and financial risk, and honestly makes life so much more annoying for all the legit dealers that I think a lot of us will stop using the site directly.

Tyler's Top 10 Ways To Not Get Scammed
1. Before dealing with users who added you on skype because of MCM, Ask them to confirm their MCM account, ex. Have them to message you on MCM confirming the skype that just added you are theirs.

2. Check when users have joined MCM, Do not deal with people who joined one week ago.

3. If you're skeptical about dealing with a user, Use a middleman that the both of you decide on. Don't get a shitty middleman who would scam the both you, Get someone trusted on this site with like 50+ rep or something.

4. Before you purchase/send over the money. Have the seller confirm that he has the item, ex. Have him/she share their screen, Send you a gif of them refreshing their browser because inspect element is a thing.

5. Be cautious of dealing with users who only accept amazon giftcards, As those are the ones to most likely remove you and block you on skype. Do not get triggered kids, Not saying everyone will but be cautious.

6. Before dealing, Ask questions regarding the item you're trying to purchase, Where did you get this from, Why are you trying to sell it.

7. If a user is selling something for a price that is really low, Don't be stupid. Just ask yourself, Why would he sell me this when he can clearly get more.

8. If the user has a profile pic of a gang member of a rapper as their skype pic, Be cautious. Those are most likely the ones to block you and never speak to you again.

9. If the guy is AU, Be aware. They're known for DDOSing and Scamming. Not saying every AU user will but just be cautious. I've experienced getting scammed by multiple AU users.

10. Last but not least, I don't care how rep. the guy is. If you're buying something for a lot of money, +200 and up. Use a really rep. middleman or even better, an MCM admin or mod. Money will make scums to some sad shit and It'll be that one guy who is really rep. and still scam you.

If you've made it to the end, You should be scam free now. If you find this helpful. Please rate. It's been your friendly neighborhood doge and im out.
on #10, staff can't middleman.

This has been suggested countless times and it's not going to work due to several complications. People should seriously use the search system.

Gave my opinion here:
A system like this could never really work for a few reasons, with chargebacks being the largest problem I think. A system like this wouldn't prevent scamming, it would simply shift the scam over from the buyer/seller losing money to MC-Market losing money.
Gave my opinion here:

Declined, thanks for the suggestion.

This won't work and it's not original another forum has this and I know they lose lots of money because of scammers finding ways to bypass the system.
could you PM me the name of that forum?
