Seems like a giant waste of time and you're gonna actually be spending a while trying to win. Pretty dumb to just post farm until you get it.

Even at that IT would still take forever to get a winner. It's borderline post farming.
Also the contest might seem "legit" but the 1 in one mil is a really far stretch from being reasonable. Something like 1-100 would seem within reason and fair.

imo I dont see it an issue as its people offering to give away a prize that they DONT HAVE TO until they made the thread, and if the requirements are fulfilled they're obligated to give that prize.

I agree, actually knowing if a 1-1million is legit is hard. A way it could be done better is if a Staff member had to require the winning number so they can double check if a user ever wins the contest. Still this would give more work to the Staff team which is bad.

It doesn't limit it, it just makes it so Staff knows that the contest has a set number, and if said number is ever guessed the Staff team can take action if the OP didn't give a reward to the user that guessed the correct number.

That should be a suggestion in and of itself, given it would basically be an addition to the addon they have for giveaways (i.e. "hidden fixed value for giveaway" field before you create the contest).

They could add a "hidden fixed value" for giveaway or they could also maybe add like a area to write something if its a word? Personally I think staff should have access to the "Fixed value" or "Word" just in case someone thinks it's a scam or something. Then that way staff can manually check also if someone won. Once the "Fixed value" or "Word" is set they can't change it without contacting staff. I would say give it a 1 hour window they should be able to report it to change it otherwise if they don't they have to leave it how it is, this will help the "250$" and bigger "Contests" fair just in cause someone won. I doubt the people that are actually doing those contests have the money.

All you have to do is just put a cap on how many times you can enter/guess? Giveaways can have whatever rules they want, it doesn't matter.
