I don't see anything wrong with acting professional as long as you don't make yourself sound fake. There's plenty of people on this website who actually make good money. I make thousands a month from here. Anyone who says you can't run a legitimate business from mc is wrong lol.
I completely agree with people being professional but I don't appreciate people becoming CEOs of sham companies and "Financial directors"

Yeah but people just turn it into HR word vomiting and it's cringe.

Firstly, multiple people make over $200/month on management. Second, people do work for companies and corporations. Just because your interpretation of the average manager doesn’t make money or doesn’t work for registered entities doesn’t mean it isn’t a thing. Also, as a 15 year old who has profited from multiple projects I call myself an entrepreneur. Why? Because I’m comfortable. Of course, I don’t have as many expenses as a middle aged person. That doesn’t mean I’m not a successful entrepreneur for my age.
You’re correct, multiple people do make over $200/month on management. Jesse Hoogeboom (Affixes) makes at least $5,000/month doing what he does because he’s one of the best. He doesn’t just handle community stuff (requires no skill), he is basically an operator.

And again, you are correct. Some people do work for companies and corporations. Most functioning adults work for a company. Adolescent teenagers, including yourself, do not work for companies and corporations.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: you are not an entrepreneur. There might be 3 people on MC-Market that are actual entrepreneurs. Just because you got paid $20 to write documents does not mean you are an entrepreneur.

I don’t want to argue with you, but all your statements about me are wrong.

1. Worked for registered companies
2. Make more than $20
3. Projects I’ve owned have become successful, I’ll call myself an entrepreneur

Please stop speaking like you understand what I do. You are making many assumptions.[DOUBLEPOST=1580328614][/DOUBLEPOST]

1. I call bullshit because you’re 15. You are below the age of 16, which is the minimum age required to join the workforce.

2. $20 is $20.

3. Just because I start my own service team doesn’t mean I’m an entrepreneur. You are not an entrepreneur just because you put “CEO of SkyHigh Entertainment LTD” in your custom title.

Mason, I don’t know why you put on a fake persona on MCM. It’s not going to increase sales or help with business deals. You dropped this act with me on Discord, using improper grammar when you talked to me about your love for marijuana and THC cartridges. I’m pretty sure you also told me that you’re like 4’10” so I’m more than well aware that you’re a kid.

You don’t have to act like a “business professional” on MC-Market. If you’re working for somebody, you aren’t an entrepreneur. It doesn’t make you look any more reputable just because you put that word beside your name.

Chick Fil A and some state Parks & Rec services hire at 14, the rest hire at 16.

I literally just looked at our Discord logs. If you are so bothered by this, why do you keep responding to everybody criticizing you for putting on a persona that is cringeworthy? Just don’t respond to people. You literally just responded to me 3 times.

Hello. I am a CEO of Sunflower, a company based from the ground up from mc-market going back several years. It's a professional company and I don't believe that this thread should exist because of the mountain of CEOs and entrepreneurs on the forum. I manage a lot of servers and I work closely with Human resources in my company and they've all agreed that the CEO of mc-market should delete this thread as it's slander to all of us, entrepreneurs, as a whole.

Uhhh you don't know anything about me and

The same applies to you, you don't know anything about Mason or me, or about any of the other people you are targetting? What gives you the justification to trash on so many people that you don't know anything about nor have worked with in the past?

Sounds like a common sense thing to me.
Knowing when and how to be professional is certainly a learned skill. Granted, the problem is typically that people are unprofessional in the wrong circumstance, but it can go both ways.

Knowing when to be professional can certainly feel like common sense to someone with strong social skills.
I did not start out in life with great social skills, and have spent a great deal of time and effort to get better. One of the things I spent a great deal of time actively working on was reading tones, is this conversation fun, professional, object oriented, et cetera.

It's not surprising MCM sees a high concentration of people who lack these social skills, we are at some fundamental level a gaming forum for teenagers after all.

In the real world nobody talks like that because it's cringe and wastes time. Talking "professionally" doesn't mean making a sentence as complex as possible, which is what people on here do. So talking like that on here is a waste of time.
I agree that being wordy helps no one.
Writing concisely is an important skill in business, one a lot of the community is missing.

I disagree that "nobody in the real world talks professionally" there are certainly circumstances in which speaking professionally is appropriate. Even with my friends, we will occasionally fall into a professional dialogue because the concise nature of professional speech can improve a conversations flow (like when discussing the new Star Wars movie or arguing about the future of a popular company).

It's all about the circumstance, sometimes, being professional can benefit a conversation, sometimes it hurts it, reading when to use which is the skill much of MCM lacks. Hopefully this thread brings enough attention to the issue that those who don't know how will put in the effort to learn.
