Suggestions for a wifi range extender

I have just recently moved my computer to the basement of my house and (because the router is in the attic) I have shit internet. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get better internet?

that is how my ethernet cable reaches my room. it is a good suggestion

I have a second router, run an ethernet cable to it and then run everything out of there (or use the wireless). It's a great solution, but you can have issues when you're in between them.
