This summer I am going to build a new PC. The current one I have had for 3 years and it is starting to not perform as well as I would like on newer games. I have built my friends PCs but I bought my prebuilt because I was like 12-13 when I bought a gaming PC. Also, all of my friends PCs are Intel based, the computer I want to build is going to be AMD, so this will be a bit different for me. I also am building upon an ITX form factor, which I wanted because I move my PC around a lot. Having a full ATX tower which I have now is a pain in the ass moving from place to place.

I am buying almost all the parts by the end of May. The only things I am not buying is a second M.2 SSD and the RTX 2070. I have a GTX 970 I can put in the PC while I save up the money for the RTX 2070. Plus, by that time the RTX 2070 will be like $400, I just will have to deal hunt!

If you have suggestions, please write them below.

PCPartPicker link: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/teejayxd/saved/rx3cYJ I verified all the compatibility issues so those are all false.

I would get probably a 750 power supply instead of 500 because you have very good parts that need a lot of power. It would still work with 500 but just give it a little bit more if your gonna ball out on everything else.
Well it only uses about 350w on full load, but I am not gonna overclock or anything. I might overclock my GPU though. I might as well buy a 650W by Corsair, it is like $20 more so why not.

Always good to have room for expansion

get i7 8700k
amd suck
I understand why you would be against AMD in some ways, but why would you suggest a 1050ti? That card is way too underpowered and it is pretty old at this point.

AMD Ryzen user, enjoy it a lot better than when I had an Intel CPU - your computer will run like a beast with no problems. I also think your PSU in the OP is completely fine with plenty of room for improvement.

But to tell you the truth, I love a bit more space personally. I would go ahead and put in another 2TB HDD just in case. You can never go wrong about extra space especially when it's cheap.

Oh, and I am really positive SpeedTires has no idea wtf they're talking about.

I had changed it from before, which I had a 500W EVGA one in the list. I am going to change the list to a couple different parts so check it out in like 5 minutes if you wanna see the difference.

I'd personally suggest you wait for Zen 2
Well I am not buying any parts until the end of May or start of June. If the new AMD Ryzen chips come out in Q4 2019 or 2020, then I won't wait. But if they are supposed to come out around Q2-Q3 2019 then I will wait for them.

They're not coming out in Q4 or 2020. Supposed to be end of Q2 or almost certainly in Q3 , with Zen2 TR coming out in Q4 or early 2020 I believe.

To be honest I think I will stick with the processor I have selected. Just because it has been out for a little bit and it is at a stable price where I don't feel I will get ripped off. The last PC I bought was right before the 10 series cards came out, and it had a GTX 960 in it. I was a little pissed but to be honest I didn't really care. As long as I get my money's worth and I choose my parts wisely, it doesn't bother me. I will probably build a new PC every 3-4 years at this current rate.
