"No need for it" or "unnecessary" maybe to you. Some people do care about things like this. Making their profile as nice as possible so when they give the link away, you know.

I’m fine with this as a supreme perk. It would be subject to the same rules as avatars, nothing flashy, NSFW, etc.
Just needs to have some size limits to ensure it doesn’t stall the loading of profile pages for those with slower internet.
Can see it looking pretty cool in some uses.

Kind of a problem, Mick has his max KB/quality size to like 0.0001. Any GIF that large would look like it was made on the earliest versions of Microsoft Paint.
