Supreme users can lock there threads

Hey!

Supreme users can already delete there thread so why can't we also lock/unlock our thread? I think this would be a great addition

Yeah, for example in general discussion it should not be allowed, because that is a discussion forum, but for like selling/buy forums i think it should be allowed.

This was actually on the list of features for Supreme but I don't think it ever got implemented.

I really like this idea. It adds another reason to donate to mc-m and allows for shops to be closed for a period of time, ultimately reducing necro posts.

Personally, I think this is a great idea. I'd almost rather REPLACE the delete functionality with locking instead as I don't really like to delete content off the forums if it's not necessary. Any thoughts on that?

I like to delete threads that are really spammy and if i made a thread to like buy a gift card i like to delete it afterwards because it has no use anymore. But i would like the lock function over the delete function.

If you provide the lock, don't you also have to provide the unlock?
Doesn't that cause a flaw in the system if a user unlocks a locked thread by a staff member?

I'm thinking that a custom developed solution that would allow users to "close" their thread (essentially, lock it) would be best. Once your thread is closed, you wouldn't be able to open it again, which would be stated in a confirmation dialogue before the thread is closed.

I've noticed (since I got supreme) that the only new thing that I actually get to enjoy is changing my chat color in ShoutBox where as when I got premium, I felt like a boss and I could do a million things. Hope this gets added.

If you can't answer this, then you're just trying to replicate other sites...

The only one use is to mark a thread as sold, and I bet that won't actually be happening.

Just use the report tool and say "please close my thread because [...]".
