Like when a user is banned, you can see why he is banned, you should add a thing that enables you to see why a user is suspended and how long his suspension lasts for/ends at. This might already be a thing, i am pretty stupid to be honest, i cant see it but, if its not it seems a good idea in my eyes cause i always want to see why people are banned..

Often its not a reason why. Say if they had 8 warning points, then spammed the shoutbox, maybe they would get another 2. Making them hit 10 and get suspended. That would be the reason yes, but its been the other things they have done to have 8, that also contributed to the suspension. (Just an example but you get the point) It would be more of a list of diffrent things, than a single reason.

The suspension system is also automatic if I remember correctly. When a staff member applies warning points, if their new total goes over a suspension threshold, the system automatically suspends them, for however long, depending on how many points they now have. Adding this would likely mean that would need to be recoded to do this.

Even if it just said "X amount of warnings points reach", I would be satisfied.

Even if it just said the time rather than the reason, I'd be happy. A lot of people just want to know how long someone is suspended for.

Agree, would like to see how long certain members are suspended for. Shouldnt be that much work considering the suspension is performed by the site so it could just add the amount of warning points or just the date they come back in a suspension list.

If it's for multiple reasons maybe something like what AdvancedBans does in Minecraft?

X was suspended for "Reached 4 warnings"
- Spam in Shoutbox
- Rude to others others
- Spam in Shoutbox
- Being an elephant

Agreed. Good punishment for people who aren't fully ban worthy, or where evidence is circumstantial. A tempban?

Punishments are "secret" and "private", so I doubt shouting stuff like this to all members would ever be done.

lol this is not gonna be practical. You'd have to put a whole LIST of things. in place of "banned for X" it would be "suspended for 4 months for 3x Y, 2x X, 5x C" and shit.

Essentially if the system knows you are banned until say May 30
All you would have to do is get the number of days from today's date to May 30
Not that hard It is simple amounts of code to determine days. (Including leap years)

hes not asking for the time left alone, also asking for the reasons. THAT is the part i'm calling impractical.
Before suspensions were different from bans, it was literally "banned for excessive violation of rules" no matter if it was 1 or 2 20-point warnings for selling stolen content or 10 warnings for spamming in SB. thats all it'll ever be.

It would be nice to see a sheet of everyone's offenses so like if I got warning points for telling you to kill yourself it would be added to the list. That wouldn't be hard to do? Something on your profile page or something that goes like:

Issuer :: Issue Date :: Reason :: Points Warranted

thats different from this suggestion, which is asking to have it listed the same way ban reasons are.

Yes, but it implements the same concept:
Then the ban message would be
This user has been suspended for http://www.mc-market.org/members/26652/warningSheet

Which is what he would want :p
It is just a different way of implementing what he would like.[DOUBLEPOST=1496183465][/DOUBLEPOST]

Why though? If someone is being rude it shows their personality people argued why we allow hiding of profiles....
Why hide the fact that a user is a scumbag? If these things were displayed openly it would give reason to not do it in the first place because you yourself wouldn't like to have a sheet a mile long.

Not true, you can know exactly why everyone gets banned.

But you don't see all of their punishments whenever they're banned, just the reason for the ban (excessive violations of rules, alts, scamming, etc.).

As before mentioned, suspensions are triggered automatically. The only way you could really achieve what you're asking for is to publicly list all the warnings that caused the suspension to occur. Regardless of what you think, some members may not feel comfortable with their warning past to be publicly available. Even if the description was to just state the number of points that caused the suspension, it automatically gives insight into potential problems a user might have caused.

In short, I don't think it's fair to give up a user's privacy (yes, it is a user's right to keep silent about anything on their account) just to provide unnecessary details which is, in fact, unnecessary

However, that being said, I'd love to see when a user's suspension ends. It'd be useful to know, especially if the user has regular business to attend to and can't let his customers know when he will be able to respond again.
