Pretty much just what the title says.

Users have the option to turn on swear filter. This could be located somewhere at the bottom banner of the site. Once you turn it on and you refresh the page, all swears will look like ****.

This is useful because although many users swear themselves, some find it uncomfortable and prefer sites that don't show it. It could attract users to come back and have a more enjoyable experience.

I mean it seems like a lot of unnecessary hastle to do this when there are swear words on almost every website? Even youtube & google. And if someone was that sensitive there are chrome extensions that filter out swears in this exact way.

youtube has monetization for that, google has an option to block swearing

One thing I absolutely hate is chat filters, like come on, roblox already shows how terrible chat filters are. even hypixel when you spend 5 minutes trying to type "Assassin" without it just warning you for writing "Ass' , I believe it will not stop people from swearing other than just being extremely annoying and useless, although making it a filter that a person can select might be interesting, let's say by default you can see swear words but if you check a box then it will all get filtered and censored

While I don't know how difficult it is to add something like this I like the idea simply because it is per user. Some people simply don't want to see swear words and would prefer to go without them. To the people who don't mind seeing swear words, they won't see any change but for those who do mind, it'll be censored out. While they might be common, that doesn't mean everyone accepts them.

As long as this doesn’t limit my ability to see swear words (I could care less) and doesn’t make it against the rules for me to swear personally I’m fine with this suggestion.

I don't see why people don't like the suggestion.
If you want swears shown, turn it off or if not, turn it off. Simple.

It doesn't revoke any privelliges from the users who swear, just adds more flexibility to other users.

People probably just read the title and immediately disagreed. That or they just think there’s no point to this.
