Sys admin learning

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to teach me the basics of being a sysadmin (mostly for setting up websites as well as the pterodactyl panel setup and just a walkaround of the different commands on the server) and if you are willing to help me please message me at *DEAD*#1995

you'd be best off just doing the things yourself, that's how you learn

I appreciate that but I tried and I just wanted someone to help me with errors on the way

i agree with the guy who just commented before me, he is right, you gotta learn them yourself,
if you find any issue, there is always a support page for everything, if you need help with errors, you can message me here or on discord [ AodX#7679 ]
But i recommend you learn from your mistakes, and by time you will be good at it.

Thanks! but sometimes the documentations on certain things are too hard to understand I just want someone to help me along the way

well, i don't think someone can give you his knowledge that easily,
i mean ill talk a bit about pterodactyl panel, for me, i do setups for people ( i have a post on mcm about it ), and i have setup more than 5 panels for people on mcm, and i still even sometimes get errors and i end up going to the support section on pterodactyl's discord,
even tho, the first time i learned it was 2 years ago, so i believe i can build the pterodactyl panel way much better than anyone else, and in a really fast way ( it won't take more than an hour to finish the whole thing with the node setup and SSL cert from LetsEncrypt ), but i still face problems sometimes, and its normal,

i can't just give you all my experience in it in 1 give, it will be a long journey to teach you all of that, i don't think anyone would teach you all of that for free, unless he got sometime from it, ( money most likely ),

that's just the panel, which is a really easy thing from all the Sys admin work,
think about it from this part.

I 100% agree with Frank here, theres no point you hiring anyone to teach you this as, System Administration requires alot of time and "hands on" work. Your best bet is to get a test environment setup, and just continously work on it.

Also most System Admins here don't have the skills to teach you (properly atleast). There are only a few System Admins on this site that would be qualified to teach you and they all probably dont have the time to help you learn effectively.

Relying on another person to potentially spoon-feed you answers is not the right way to enter the field. I personally learned through trial and error, lots of google searches.

Odds are, if you're running into an issue, someone else somewhere in the world has dealt with the same thing.

Invest some time into learning this stuff, you'll appreciate it way later.

it won't be easy

and I won't be able to give you all i have learned in years,

so I recommend you just try yourself
and ask for help when you get into errors.

If you're willing to pay my billing rate, I'd be more than happy to assist you and the methodologies that I use to debug issues...but that's really all I can do for you, otherwise, as I've mentioned before, you really need to do this yourself. It's okay if you don't necessarily understand what you're doing if you're just starting, but if you don't know what you're doing, you can always google what this command does, and how it works
