Hey everyone,

I’m currently trying to decide between TCPShield and CosmicGuard for protecting my server, and I need your insights. My main priority is performance and results—price is not a factor for me. I want to focus on which solution provides better DDoS mitigation, reliability, and overall user experience.

I’ve read some reviews online, but I’d love to hear about actual experiences from this community. If you’ve used either of these services, please share your thoughts, especially regarding their effectiveness under high traffic or attack situations.

Looking forward to hearing what you all have to say

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

As a TCPShield customer way back in the day when they only had the $100/month and a free plan for their overall ddos protection i found that it very easy to use. the main comparable difference is that TCPShield helps to protect against the SERVICE vs the SERVER, I would assume you'd be running Minecraft on this machine, if you're going for performance and results only and want an extremely easy setup process (also cost effective), I would choose TCPShield. However, if you're looking for OVERALL protections as if you have a database running, want to protect your server (firewalls are good but don't always work), CosmicGuard might be a better solution as it protects the whole server. Do note though that CosmicGuard charges an arm and a leg for protections (bandwidth mainly), but as you said cost isn't a factor so this should be a good overall solution.

i cannot vouch for the user experience for either of these platforms as I never used CosmicGuard (heard stuff about it though) and never had any problems with DDoS attacks since getting TCPShield, (essentially support was never contacted as I never needed help for this).

Edit: Also would like to include that I had a very high risk of DDoS attacks (type of server) back in the day, around 2022/early 2023, I shut it down, but TCPShield definitely saved my a** back in the day, would have had some many problems even running a game server on OVH (meant for these types of attacks), and I'm sure the service as a whole right now is better than where it started.

Never Tried Cosmic Guard Myself , But i'd recommend TCPShield Assuming you need their Services for DDoS Protection against your Minecraft Server is good, their anti-vpn also works very well and Pings are also decent for Most regions so from personal experince i'd recommend TCPSheild
