Hey guys I have no experience in creating websites but would love to ease my way into coding. Coming from a guy with 0 experience, could anyone teach me? I would be willing to pay if it isn't free or there are no free options, I'm really interested in backend I'd like to add. I don't mind learning about everything though! Not sure if I'd start anytime soon though got a filled schedule right now but wanted to observe my options!

Thanks,
William G.

I'm not going to be offering anything. However, the only thing I would suggest is to create a website with Enjin or XenForo. I would highly recommend going with Enjin if you cannot afford something good like XenForo, I can't blame you their licenses are a fortune! If you are going into Web Development properly, I would suggest sticking to using XenForo as that way you can experience how proper modules, groups, themes work.

Good Luck!

@everyone

How do you save your sites and where do you code? I'm assuming you get a github to save a project and a text editor to format it all?

Also, do you guys have like blocks of code you have at your fingers ready to paste then edit, or have you memorized the code and do it from scratch? Thanks!

Yeah GitHub is nice.

For the blocks of code, it's possible but probably won't help much. They're called snippets

So then you write all your code from scratch?

Mostly, i usually just copy one of the previous websites to quickly get started.

Also for the snippet thing, you would still need to know how to code, so it's really just a way for typing faster

For the love of god don't pay anyone here. I learned html in one weekend fueled by caffeine just watching videos and reading. Eventually I picked up a book on html and css but that's just because I learn better from reading. Figure out how you learn and teach yourself from the many websites, youtube channels, etc on the internet.
