Teamspeak or Discord Server

I'm aware that this was denied in a previous suggestion but I'd would like to re open this due to the reasoning behind it's denial being illogical and stupid. And times have changed.

Discord and teamspeak have so many advantages over shoutbox. (Shoutox was one of the main arguments against it.) EVERYONE USES IT.

An argument against discord that was made by bebosny is that it would be hard to moderate. And that's an easy fix. We have some brilliant individuals that roam this forum that could come up with a solution. Bots could and would be able to solve a large portion of the problem. If some are missed it can be easily reported.

There are so many advantages to having a discord server.

For one if mcm got discord it would allow a better way to advertise to its members. Because the majority of all members using mc-market having discord so why not use something that the majority of users use. Plus it's a useful application. It would also potentially wipe out any competing discord servers that are trying to compete in market if advertised correctly.

This is a just a really bad summary that is designed to provoke thought. Please comment ideas as to why it would be good idea or terrible idea.

I am looking into adding a teamspeak server though. Although it isn't as popular as it used to be, I think that teamspeak is good because it's just for voice chatting which is something not many people on MCM do. There's a great integration addon which I have purchased and have been testing for the past few days. If anyone has any input on a teamspeak server I'd love to hear it.

Just make a Discord server with only voice channels then, and maybe one text channel for music bots.

Discord has more functionality than all those old voice softwares especially since discord is updating and adding features once every two weeks or so mind you it’s been proved to be best by Linus too

i mean Mick didn't say different? He said he knows it has more functionality.

Why don't we use Skype? It's far superior to discord, it crashes all the time and its difficult to manage!

I would personally recommend a discord server, but I do believe TS has some better voice features than Discord

I still prefer discord but I do like discord if he wants a voice only platform he could make a discord without any text channels just make it voice channels and maybe a text channel to run commands I think that would work nice and still has all the advantages of a voice platform.

It's quite upsetting that we still haven't been provided an answer as to why a Discord server will never be implemented.
