Tell me about your VERY FIRST server

Thought it would be cool if you guys explained or commented on your very first server you made weather that be your 12 year old self making your first server or your 20 year old self making a few grand a few pointers are
-How much was invested
- How much loss/profit
- Playerbase
- Why did it close down or get sold etc
- Game mode and what was it about

For me honestly only had 1 server and I have learned a shite ton but here we go
Overall "invested" 500 pounds
Loss: 500 Pounds well [200 pounds] but dont have anything now xd
Playerbase: 0-15 2 seasons
Closed down gamemode skyblock and a normal skyblock server

Made about $150 in donations, but put everything back in so essentially lost it all lul
10 - 15 (54 on release) /shrug
Not enough money to keep going and bring out updates / loss of motivation

I didn't invest anything, had a sponsor who had a 16gb dedicated box he gave me.
It was an Op Prison server which brought in around $600 in the few months it was open the summer of '14
150-170 Players during the last month of operation
Closed it because the sponsor wasn't active enough for my liking and I needed to get out of it.

I don’t really know. I want to make another one though lol I was going to make a local host today actually and see what I can do, lots of new plugins.
I have spent a lot of time on skyblock aswell through staffing and that’s hot

- Why did it close down or get sold etc It closed down because my dads paypal got locked because I cb'd on the hosting

- Made over $1,200 in profit.
- Playerbase was around 30-50.
- The server was open for 4-6 days.
- One of the managers abused their powers and opped someone who screwed the server over and it was later sold to someone else who reopened it.
- It was a skyblock server that was meant to be a replacement of SkyRegions.

- Why did it close down or get sold etc? It shut down because I used my moms cc when I was 10 to make the server, I understood nothing and just messed around, and suddenly I was out of money. 10/10 would do again.
