Make it a rule to permanently ban terrorist sympathising pricks like this one here;

http://prntscr.com/etlmja

If you do not ban this little low life prick then I don't know what's worse about the staff team.

Even worse, he was saying this to a guy who literally lives 5 minutes away from the incident? Don't let terrorists win.

Can mods lock this thread please? It's rapidly devolved into little more than a shitstorm. All relevant points were made over an hour ago.

"Its just MTG being himself"

Excellent excuse for this kind of behaviour, I guess it's just MTG being himself. So if MTG talks about your family, bombs your house or murders your close relatives, then I guess it's okay because it's just you know, "MTG being himself".

I believe MTG was more making a joke (immature as it may be) rather than "Sympathizing with terrorists"

Kids on this site need to stop being fucking babies and grow up. Every single time something happens you come straight to this forum and suggest a rule to prevent it.

What you're doing here is silencing free speech on unrelated issues. You realise how weird it is to have a Minecraft marketplace, and then in the rules "Rule 531. Do not support terrorism".

Just grow up. People will have opinions in life. Stop being such a fucking baby about them.

Kim Tell your mom to get a grip. Whole point of terrorism is to scare people. She's just scaring herself and her kids. Nothing will happen, it's pretty logical why. The chances of being affected in a terrorist attack are small, even if one happened 5 minutes away. They're not gonna have your address on a piece of paper and decide a kid who sells on MCM is significant to be part of their grand plan.

I do not see how saying "nice" in reply to someone saying a terrorist attack happened is actively sympathizing with terrorists.
Sure, it's a sick and out of place joke that should not be condoned, but terrorist sympathization sounds like an overreaction. If he had said something along the lines "I support IS and what they're doing, I hope you all die or get turned into slaves", that would have been undeniable terrorist sympathization.

As it is, a lot of us know MTG replied with "Nice" to everything, the more inappropriate the better. I wouldn't disagree with some warning points to make clear he crossed a line, but he'd also say "nice" to someone saying "My dog just died" or "my grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimers".

All in all, I would like to spread a 'little' message to everyone. The aim of terrorists is to make us afraid, both of them and of each other. They aim to spread fear and division, to weaken us to the point of paralyzing. This is why all those people band together after a terrorist attack, why they go out on the streets to show that the terrorists have not frightened them to hide behind closed doors.
The problem is that the attacks seem to become so frequent that each moment of unity in result loses its meaning. There was very little online reaction to what happened in St. Petersburg, and I'm also disappointed in the overall reaction to StockHolm. If we normalize attacks as a society, individual people will become more afraid, as they will not have the feeling that they are part of something grand, standing up to unseen enemies. It will further spread division, since they will feel they can trust no-one. even though mistrusting your neighbour is idiotic, since even if they WERE a terrorist there's not that much you could do (you can't call the police on them unless you catch them in the act, for instance). Shooting them in the head because you think they're a terrorist wouldn't do much either.
Even the retarded notion forbidding all "muslims" and people with arabic ethnicity from entering a country would not help.
The terrorists would simply find someone who can pass for a Caucasian, and use THEM to commit the attack.

What we CAN do is work together to find them before they act. From what I have read, more attacks have been prevented in the last year than were carried out (only counting things classed as terrorist attack here, standard 'shootings' in some countries that arent classified as terrorist are currently ignored).
What you can do to prevent more is to get to know more people. Get to know their worldviews and their dreams. An extremist or potential extremist really isn't as inconspicuous as you might think, once you get to know them.

They hide behind anonymity, and for this reason our governments would like to strip away that anonymity and the basic privacy from all of us, never mind the nice side effect that it makes it easier for them to find their critics as well.
Instead, we should seek to lift that mask of anonymity on our own. If we all start meeting new people, getting to know them and possibly befriending them, we'd form a group of shared communication that would make reclusive individuals stand out like sores. Even a so-called Introvert like myself would not stand out that much, yet someone whose main objective is to kill those around them is not likely to wish to socialize with them first.

This may sound foolish to you and you're free to think what you wish of it, but it is something you can do to help without relying on either your government to carry you like a swaddled babe, or violence and hate to guide you like a fiery marsh light into the swamp.
