What the project is. What the project provides. What it will require. Who the target audience is. How to use it and the people I will need to make this possible.
What It's about:
A cross between minecraftskins.com (The Skindex) and paint.net (a download website to alter colors and gradients of photos and templates)
How it works:
Paint.net is a known website used for many minecraft texturepack/resource pack makers but it takes a lot of time in order to just figure out how to use it. As it is not sacrificially made for just minecraft. I was thinking what if I were make a website that's easy to use and fast to learn to use like The Skindex, but still able to make your own minecraft packs like on Paint.net. It would be faster, easier to use, and more then likely become popular after a period of time and a couple of tutorial videos.
Possible Staff:
I will need staff to monitor public chat, keep topics on the correct pages, make sure nothing 18+ is exposed into the system, and such. Like helpers, moderators, and admins.
Other possible programs and additions:
Other possible related and added programs would include a public chat PMC (planet minecraft). Possible categories that would also be for making skins and banners. Ranks that would unlock things such as different test backgrounds and holding weapon (Bow and sword) positions for skins/packs.
How it would make money:
Rank that would unlock different test backgrounds, holding positions for weapons to see how they would work out with skins and or packs. A donation system will also be added that will unlock certain badges on the forums such as PMC has it for winning an event or even how MCM has it for donating. Server advertisements to the side would also help stabilize things in the start.
What positions I need:
I will need designers for the website itself followed by logo and network art.
I will need helpers, moderators, admins, and managers for the actual release.
A website developer will be needed, more then likely a couple of people who can work together to create such an Idea. Someone who can also make these tutorials on how to use the website will be wanted eventually.
Budget and money:
As far as money goes I am low right now due to a scam. Purchasing of plugins for my own minecraft server, and other reasons. I will need to look more into what people can provide and how much they would suggest the website would need to start off with, and go from there. Possible payments would be after the website is out and advertised. Loans and investments would more then likely be needed to start up the website up. Co-owners, owners and mangers who can help save time and money will also be a salutation.
Advertisement:
My plan for advertising is to look for content/texture pack creatures and see if they will support, advertise and use something like this. A lot of people have got used to paint.net but not after many hours spent just trying to figure out how to do so. Something much simpler, a simplified version of paint.net specifically for minecraft texture packs would probably be very appreciated in the community of pack makers. They would return share this website/information with their pack/community discords and Youtube channels and get more people interested in the pack making ways of minecraft.
Other:
I will need suggestions for a domain name, official website link, logo and art, and such that is fitting to a website of the sort. Please leave feedback without trashing this thread.
