The 0.99 Cent to 1000$ challenge.

Hey Guys, It's Doughnut.

Before you whine and moan and shitpost about coping. I give full credit to stephvibes and Lag for giving me this idea and I would like to give it a shot.


The Concept:
I start with 0.99Cents in my paypal and I have to earn 100$ I don't know how long this will take me but I hope to get there at some point.

If people are willing to donate to me to help me raise the funds I will greatly appreciate it but I will be trading to potentially earn something more valuable.

If anyone can help me make my first trade I would highly appreciate it.

Purpose:
I'm not going to go into a sob story about the purpose of this but simply, my Nan who is 83 has Alzheimers and I want to donate to the Alzheimers UK charity which can be found here: https://www.alzheimers.org.uk . It's what my grandfather also had which made it much harder for him as he was unable to remember people including his own wife towards the end of his days.

I don't expect people to believe me because this market place is full of kids that lie about things but this is something I'm truly passionate about. In order to raise more funds for this I'm also doing my Duke of Edinburgh award (dofe.org if you haven't got an idea as to what it is.) and for my physical I have decided that for 6 months I will do running and at the end of it I will do a fundraising Half marathon in order to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's disease as it has affected my family greatly.

I understand this has been edited in but I would like you to consider this, this isn't for me to earn a quick $. If I wanted to do that I'd get more shifts at my work. I want to set myself a challenge to barter and trade but also to raise some funds for a charity close to my heart.

When you are doing a challenge or asking for donations, you don't just straight up say "I want x amount of money, pls donate".
A. Show some empathy atleast
B. Tell us a better reason to donate to you, a goal of X amount of money means nothing
C. Don't shoot for outlandish achievements xD

Umm I don't really know of anyways to ensure that it will go there, any suggestions. I can guarantee I will donate it but you have a valid point, is there any websites or ways that I can provide evidence that It's going to charity.

Basically, this is an Alzheimers 's charity at this point. This is a great start. I honestly hope your grandmother does well, and I'll definitely donate when I have the money!

I go to the charity for Alzheimer's and donate myself, why would I make it go thru someone from a market that a bunch of kids lie on as you said. It's literally right here: https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/get-involved/make-donation

Not trashing, if that's what's happening to your grandparents that must be sad for you, but I don't see potential in this thread, unless you go out yourself and donate yourself some money to show that you do care when you have money as you said, this will be less help than if you stood with a stand on the street, and telling people about how Alzheimers affects our society.
