The Chunk is looking for two talented developers who are able to be committed to the long-term future of our network. We are looking for one backend developer and one game developer.
Basic requirements
- At least two years of Java experience required, more is recommended.
- At least one year of Bukkit experience required, more is recommended.
- You must be able to use Maven and Git.
- Recommended: Code samples to show your experience. We will conduct a code review to determine if the code quality is sufficient for us.
- Recommended: Previous work experience and verification
- Avoid common Bukkit mistakes
- Good communication skills and work ethic (constantly committing changes, providing status updates, avoiding procrastination).
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be dedicated to the network, and able to put in a fair amount of hours per week. We want someone who shares our vision for the network, and works for that vision.
- Experience with NMS/OBC/ProtocolLib is highly recommended.
- BungeeCord experience is recommended.
- MySQL experience, utilizing proper conventions (prepared statements, pooling) is a must. Experience with Redis and/or other NoSQL systems is recommended.
- Experience with administering Linux servers is recommended but not required.
Payment for will be as follows for each position
- First two months - $250 minimum with 5% of profits at a $500 cap monthly
- Following months - $250 minimum with 7.5% of profits at a $1,000 cap monthly
