It’s 00:32 and I’m really just trying to get a Stonks on my thread count so here is a FORUM THEORY.

[Intro rolls in]

Alright so we know pretty much how the entire forum now hates Capaldi, there isn’t many exceptions to it. I’m personally neutral in this entire drama but I will however side against such staff member as I had myself some quite unpleasant experiences, but that’s not the point here.

The forum is angry...

And to say the least, an angry forum isn’t exactly good business. Mick cares much more about this forum than most individuals here and has sacrificed quite an amount of offers for it’s sack. Saying otherwise would be better pathetic and ignorant as none of any of the community members personally know mick nor read his mind nor even know the behind the scenes.

Now, let’s get to the source of the problem: staffing issues.

MC-Market has a staffing issue which cannot be ignored. Averaging over 50-100 registrations per day, constant spams, repetitive scamming and annoying kids, managing and moderating MC-Market isn’t the easiest of all tasks. It requires over 3h/day dedicated to such and quite a few amounts of characteristics, such as:
  • Impeccable professionalism
  • Perfect grammar
  • Correct and easy communication
  • Clear understanding of the guidelines
So, why can’t Mick hire some of the reputable guys?

That’s not how it works. Let me tell you a tale:

Once upon a time a competitor site had just appeared. As an innocent businessman, I had just discovered it and decided to upload popular plugin Ji Anticheat on it’s platform. After a week, I went to see if anything popped up and to my surprise, on the buyer log, it seemed that nearly every single staff member had ‘accidentally’ clicked the purchase button and cancelled the order. Let me tell you the three possibilities:
  • The entire team is made of fucking morons (Can be selected as optional too)
  • Every staff members has no clue of their duties and clicks random buttons (Unlikeable)
  • They tried to download it for free, without my consent, for their own personal use (Highly likely)

Now that’s when it hit me: TRUST.
Most users on here do not understand how complicated it is to find an individual who you can rely on and trust. Every single staff member so far has never shown clear intention to exploit their permissions for personal cases (of course excluding warnings/suspensions for messages as that is entirely subjective).

Why’s that you may ask? Because Mick finds the right people. He know who he’s trusting and why they’re still on the staff team. As for Eclipse, she is, alongside Majored, one of the most active staff as of now. Without her the backlog would start appearing again.

With such amounts of time consumed with dealing with kids that don’t understand that freedom of speech is NOT APPLICABLE TO PRIVATE ENTERPRISES, you obviously get quite upset in the end.

85579C88-04E8-4ACA-A620-0B3D821F526D.jpeg

So now, lets observe this through another perspective:
Do we want to wait months for our support tickets to be answered or do we accept the fact we may need some time before another staff can arrive and balance the load out on the team? It’s an endless loop we cannot escape as of now.

It’s now 01:02, I want sleerp.

Can someone tell me why the forum hates Eclipse? Not informed
Quite an amount of extreme warnings have been applied to certain members due to them sharing content which, hypothetically, displeased the staff member. To make it short, kid talks normally but Eclipse, hypothetically, doesn’t like it and gives warning points to the user.

I like the seagull meme. I have yet to have any issues with Eclipse and in the occasional scam report I read, I see her addressing and doing a professional job while being fair. I don't 'actively participate' in every category of the site but I do skim most of the content regularly, which might be why I don't get as many warning points - I don't say or make threads on stupid things.

You forget the fact that probably most reputable people or whatever really do not want to be staff here since it's a terrible site with terrible management. I mean look at all the staff who resigned or got fired (Baum, Doge, BeBosny and a few others) all were very happy about leaving the site behind.

The only reason why this site is alive is because there is no other like it and if there is; Mick buys them out.

Think about this for a moment. If those other site owners were so much better than Mick and cared so much about their communities, they wouldn’t have sold out at the first chance of getting a decent amount of cash off of it (Mick buying their site). The fact that the competitors tend to sell out proves that their owners wouldn’t have been more dedicated than the staff here are. I think no one really gives MCM enough credit.

No, the only people really interested in replicating McM are young children (12 - 16). If you offer those anywhere from 500 to 1000 for selling their site, they will take it. No matter if they could have made more if they waited and worked for 3 months.

McM honestly does not deserve any credit seeing how staff were treated, how BeBosny got kicked out and how all suggestions are handled. How announcements are handled, how things are held hidden for the community. How there is no transparency of what they are doing. How everything takes years to be changed/added/implemented. How we had months of the site being offline. How ad queues are done. I could go on. There is a lot of negative things to say about this site. They are a few good things as well, but if this site deserved more credit then one of the most famous and proper staffs on this site would not vouch against it repetitively.

McM is getting too much credit from people imo.

Exactly my point. Mick was 15 when he bought the site, and didn’t treat it like shit, which is exactly how I’m convinced those other owners would have treated theirs if they’d bad the willpower to hang on to them for any length of time. And despite the complaints that you have, I really don’t feel that the site is shit. I can accept that it has problems, but at absolute least, it’s not shit.
… how BeBosny got kicked out…
I was not active on MCM when this happened, so I can’t really comment on it. All I know is that some drama went down.

I remember registering to this forum the day BeBosny (or at least very close) had just gotten kicked out.

You spelled the third to last word wrong.

In all seriousness, I’m gonna have to agree with this. I’ve never actually had any problems with staff, but it legitimately seems like some of them are actually trying to do their job, maintain spammers, and other duties. Now, sometimes they might not make the best decisions, but that happens all the time in the real world. In the end, this is the internet. Don’t get butthurt over a bunch of warning points.
