I know staff are aware of this (which is the worst part), I know this has already been suggested once or twice before, but staff REALLY need to get their ass in gear and at least somewhat improve the horrendous backlog on scam reports. Doesnt matter if its a 10$ scam or a 1000$ scam, scams are still a big issue and if we keep scammers on the site for as long as possible then there will just be MORE scam reports that pileup and add to the backlog.

We are at the point where we are begging staff to basically inforce the rules. The scam report backlog is also getting users triggered about the selection of staff and scam resolvers, its just a pileup of issue after issue, this needs to END!

competitor forums do this quite often and even at a similar scale as MCM (think *gu), I rarely see them exceed 10 open deal disputes (their version of SRs). MCM clearly isn't comperable so yes, the suggestion of "do it faster" is a valid one. There is a several month delay on SRs which is just plain unacceptable. anyone could go on a scamming spree for months and as long as they're not stupid or blatantly admit it, they'd get away with it just fine. this is a huge issue and should be given the utmost priority, Kram is basically the only one that handles SRs anymore, and BucketOfSloths seems to have just dropped off the grid for them. It doesn't really matter if/how much work is done "behind the scenes" because there's still a good ton of issues that are affecting your userbase heavily. Maybe stop worrying about breaking image proxies after a small disciplinary issue (which is a 30 minute task and hasn't been fixed for WEEKS! it also heavily affects loads of users who's threads/signatures are now broken), and focus on not letting a queue several months long pile up and allow this marketplace to be overtaken by scammers. It's honestly ridiculous, and Mick has once again dropped off the grid for weeks at a time. Every staff says the sites' activity hasn't gone down but it obviously has as well.

TL;DR: For the 500th time, either get this shit together or see the site wither and die due to incompetent ownership and improper handling of community requests. It's very clear that whatever this site has been doing for the last year isn't working, and by refusing to listen to user suggestions (or pretending to do so and "forgetting" about them for months at a time) and insisting on staying with now-outdated protocols that clearly don't work, a perfect storm is being made for MCM to fade to obscurity and be a failed project after years of work, and is in the process of happening this very minute.
I believe BucketOfSloths replied to all if not most of his scam reports just a few days ago and Justis has gone through an insane number of scam reports and put many hours into doing them.
The reason I hate these "do it faster" suggestions is that I don't view it as an actual suggestion because we are not purposefully doing them slowly. If there were actual suggestions on how to do them faster and not just "Reduce the time they have to respond" because they generally get 48 hours which is fair and I think anything less would be too little and start causing more cases of having to reopen scam reports.

Do it faster is a very valid suggestion you guys constantly stop touching scam reports for weeks at a time creating the backlog that you're dealing with now... You guys caught up with the m6/lion backlog then stopped did more then stopped for 2 weeks again. If you guys cant constantly do them you need to add more people to that team... You guys are allowing the site to be destroyed by scammers as they have 2-4 months to scam before any reports are touched on them. I Fail to see how "do it faster" isnt valid, Its not the community fault Its the incompetent scam revolvers who keep stopping and letting a back log pile up. If you guys cant keep up with it higher more members Or stop allowing people to registered till its sorted. Its a damn joke This shit has happened all year long.... You dont see this type of stuff on other sites it needs to be fixed.
There are generally reasons why one of us have not responded to a scam report. Reasons that just by saying "do it faster" would not fix. It's not like we are here happily accepting that there are scammers. If that was the case there wouldn't be scam reports at all. I promise you that we are aware of the backlog and we do think of ways to make it faster for us to do them, we recently implemented one where we can email people quicker. But "do it faster" is not an actual suggestion. If there was a suggestion on how to do it faster, that is what I would consider a valid suggestion. Getting more scam reports does not make scam reports faster, it makes going through all of them faster sure but it doesn't make doing them faster and it comes down to picking who is right for it.

Both agree and disagree.
I agree that this isn't a valid suggestion, since suggestions means that you actually suggest something to help the problem or just something that you maybe want implemented etc.

I disagree with the users of the forum having to find a suggestion to fix the problem.
We don't know what happens behind the scenes of MCM and we can therefor not know what the problem is.
We brought the problem to your (staff) attention and you should now work on finding the problem and solving it.
I'm not asking that the users need to find a fix, but if people find the need to make a suggestion, theirs should be actually helpful. Stop with these threads, that's my ask essentially. If you have a suggestion on how to fix to backlog, I really do want to hear but if it only says "do them faster" or "get more people", there is essentially nothing you can contribute to the discussion. The problem has been known and like I said, we do think about ways to solve it. These threads don't do anything.

Then why not get more people? There are plenty of people here who have the time and the will to work on them.

Since the time this thread has been made, there have been massive strides in the response times and overall quality of staff, but unfortunately, we are still experiencing problems with backlogs more often than I'd like. We've been expanding our staff team relatively quickly and will continue to do so and make promotions to have more scam resolvers to fix this problem for realsies.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
