The days of Prepaid cards

How I remember the days of using prepaid gift cards to buy stuff online. Those things costed like $5 to activate. Crazy how expensive. Nowadays, if I have cash and want to use it online, I drive 2 minutes to the ATM, swipe my ATM card and deposit it to my bank account, and then it's available on my debit card.

Ive never really had to use thing since I have had a card since I was like 10. The only time I really "used" them was when I tried to make counterfeit coupons so that I could buy a $100 one for like $1.

Once I had like 5 prepaids from a birthday party I was like 13 or 14 and I went to a store to find them all empty because I spent them online, was very awkward in front of like 30 people with like 30 things lmao.

I tried using a giftcard once, to buy stuff from amazon. Them being owned by a competitor of the owners of paypal, they don't accept it as a payment system. and as a student I can't really get a credit card in my country, so I tried to get a giftcard. that was one hell of a hassle.
