Hello All.

The time really has come for me to reach out to others and ask for something I didn't really want to ask - I need an alternative for Discord. By that I mean self-hosted, run on my own systems, for my own clients. I need a team of developers to help me make this project a reality. A server I can host the server side, a client application they can access for the client side. Both mobile, PC and web browser compatible.

The feature set I would require is pretty expansive to the point of being very similar to the Discord platform. The reason for this is that I use the Discord webhooks feature, Discord bots and other such tools which are detrimental to my operations. I can explain more in detail in a document I would be writing.

Please don't recommend clients like Revolt or Spacebar... they aren't out yet and in early development. I don't want to make the switch to any platform if features aren't even implemented which I crucially need.

The issues I have are:

I don't have the finance to make my dream a reality. I can pay at most $100 a month for development and pay this over the course of a year/two years unless I have supporters. No one is going to pay for an application that they can't use themselves when it's only for my business use, so I am a bit stuck here.
I don't have a name for this client. I don't want to become the next "Discord" client, I need something only for my business clients. Would be nice, but I am not asking for thousands of hours put in. Perhaps if it picks up with my clients, perhaps others will like it too.
I don't have the time nor the patience for terrible developers (no offense) and I really just need a "solution" to my issue. If Discord gets yeeted or my account gets termed due to their random bans (or I am part of a Discord that gets raided and I get false banned etc), I am vulnerable to base my whole business on a platform which can disappear in an instant.
