Good or Bad idea?
We are looking for developers who aren't on the lookout for massive budgets. We're willing to pay you for your time of course but this is a new idea with over 200 supporters in our discord in just 2 days! We're mainly looking for long-time developers who don't mind working on the server and does this kind of stuff more for fun and to see the outcome than just for money.
The story »
Far in the distant future the radio-waves of the human inhabited planet Ecrth have reached a distant type 3 civilization, they decoded the gibberish that is the radio-waves and had come to a conclusion that they can be the only intellectual civilization within the extremely large universe. They decide to start a conquest to rule the near galaxies. At this time Ecrth was under siege, war had broken out multiple times and the governments were collapsing. Russian’s were preparing for biological warfare. The diseases they were creating were powerful enough to wipe out countries within a decade with an almost-impossible chance to cure. This disease had escaped the military laboratory and created a world-wide pandemic. After years of attempting to cure the virus Russia, France, England and some parts of America, with the very little resources available, decided to create a massive spaceship capable of taking select survivors of the human race to inhabit another planet but while in development the alien civilization had been travelling to our galaxy getting ready to annihilate Ecrth and everyone with it. Once they reached Ecrth scientists from around the world had stopped work on creating a vaccine and instead tried to acknowledge and have first-contact with the alien spaceship hovering over earth. Almost hours after the arrival 3 beams had shot down from the alien ship completely flooding several countries and murdering what was left of most of the world. In a panic earth’s prized possession had been launched sending a host of people into space. Once the spaceship had gone past Mers it launched the 25 people into smaller spaceships with enough power to go across the galaxy. These hosts were cryogenically frozen and after nearly 10000 years 22 of these 25 had died during this time due to asteroids, miscalculations and other un-factored problems when travelling the galaxy. After finally waking up the 3 humans were in alpha qentauri and had directed their ships towards a habitable planet when their ships controls and navigation system had failed, the 3 lone survivors had crash landed on a different planet. What was this planet? Can they repair their ship? Is there any life?
Playable characters »
- Locus, a 13 year old boy who was supposed to arrive with his family but instead is stuck with 2 others.
- Perdita, a 15 year old girl who had been abandoned by her peers and family on Ecrth and has great knowledge and endurance
- Partum, a 32 year old engineer who loves to work and his dream has always been to go to space. He didn’t expect it to happen this way.
This server will be an RPG space-themed game-mode. The actual quests available once you crash will depend on the character you picked (and you cannot pick again). In total there will be 12-16 hours of gameplay, quests and side-quests to complete. Once you completed these you are able to set course for your original planned planet (easy) or have a choice to inhabit the one you crashed on (hard). It will then be like an SMP, you will be able to declare war on other people, claim land and play with other players.
The demo idea (25 minutes of gameplay) »
As we go along with development we would like to release a demo for players, this will be free for the first time around with one character and you're able to purchase a pass to get unlimited demo access and special updates. You will get to chose your character, download the resource pack related to the character (each character sees things a tiny bit differently) from there you will be directed to a cutscene (different voice for each character) where you're being interviewed in the future. You will be talking to someone about what happened to earth and explaining the basics of the story while being shown visually via builds. After this you will crash-land and do two quests where you will meet the other 2 characters (multiplayer will be available for main quests) and you will have the choice to do some side quests for fun.
Demo quest ideas »
- Broken space suit!
- Until you fix your oxygen detector on your ship you don't know if the planet even has oxygen! Fix your oxygen tank by finding a tool in your crashed spaceship and look for some iron!
- Are you alive?
- Look for the other 2 pods, try to see if anyone else crashed & survived!
- What's that noise?
- Search the area and see what that noise was, could it be life on the planet?
Upgrades and buycraft »
As the story progresses and the user adapts to the new atmosphere, larger threats and high oxygen levels your suit will be upgraded, you will be able to jump higher, you can unlock new outfits, you can become stronger and more!
The server will not be pay to win! That's a promise. You will be able to purchase pets, cosmetics, new suit looks and more aesthetically eye-pleasing things but NO P2W!
Final words »
I'd like to know your thoughts on our idea, this has never been done before. If you would like to become a writer, developer or have any ideas let me know below or on discord! This is a minecraft server after all! Also bare in mind that this has literally been a thing for 2 days... we're slowly working towards more quests and way more information!
